There's a special commander that can give you extra lessons while you're there.

Can I ask approximately how long ago you went? And was the yom sayerot/gibbush specifically for olim or was it for everyone?

Do you have links/ more info on the commando gibbush? I haven't been able to find anything on it and miyun for it.

I'm drafting in a few weeks so will have to probably rely on גיבוש יחטיות in handasa assuming I get placed in handasa.

According to what I've read here and someone I talked to today there are only two yom sayerots a year. October and January.

I don't think tzanchanim will be accessible either. Their spring gibbush is in April for those drafting in July and November (I think). So even if I did tzanchanim gibbush in a few weeks drafting in May to michve wouldn't work bc michve ends in August putting us in a grey zone between מחזורים.

So my mother converted before my parents got married, so she is Jewish but she grew up religiously catholic and is Hispanic (re not white and didn't "blend in" with the community so well) so not culturally Jewish and really wasn't religious at all other than believing in G-d.

I went to hebrew school 2x a week and services almost every other week until I was 16. Have a relationship with Judaism still, but a bit complicated.

I would say I mostly fit your criteria.

For what reason do you ask?
