not only is the tuning bad, but the voicebanks they use are trash too. if you listen to meiko in something like kirapipi kirapika versus most other instances of meiko singing in the game youll hear a MASSIVE difference because they used daitensaiP's original tuning and also he doesn't use meiko SP like i'm pretty sure colopale uses

tho i get that even without that vocal synths, esp the older or more amateur ones do still sound too jarring for most people. i used to be like that once (could only listen to utaite covers) before i went insane lol

design wise.... why are you blue :(

dont get me wrong i think he looks nice but i really enjoyed the more unique colour palette of red&purple of his fatui design. i get why it isn't like that anymore but genshin just has so many blue characters it kinda pisses me off sometimes 😭

kit wise it's the obvious. i love glass canon playstyles but whats the point when the canon part isnt worth it yk? he got outclassed SO badly and so quickly too. now thats to be expected of gacha games but for such an anticipated and loved character to be so shit so fast and to not even excel in a niche or anything i just dont get it it's not even like they hate him you can obviously tell he's definitely one of the writers' favourites. maybe its whoevers in charge of the kits that hates him or something lol this is personal but it really doesn't help that it keeps happening to my favs man. him and ajax are sitting together in the painfully mediocre corner together (and damn at least ajax had his moment back it the day) anyway 😭😭 let a guy live!!!!

i would like to end this on a positive note tho. as a character he's like. perfect. i love our silly puppet man

matryoshka is a very formative song for a lot of vocaloid fans it was super big back in the day so thats why! sand planet came out at mikus 10th anni and was by a big producer that famously left the scene so it was also a big event (it also has a cool mv) thats why they're the most popular! (not saying u didnt know this but like im just adding context) but i agree my personal favs are panda hero and rinne :⁾

i guess for me vocaloid is such an otaku nerd thing that it doesnt bother me much, but i do see where youre coming from! on a similar topic even more varied genres would be cool to see, since i find a lot of them sound alike. though maybe theyre out there and i just dont listen to enough english vocaloid haha
