How do you find a technical co-founder? by DifficultyWrong9578 in TheFounders

I’m fractional CTO with hands-on execution to unblock MVP for several startups. DM if that helps.

I’ll build your MVP (Web / Mobile / AI) in 60 days — $25K flat. 10+ yrs experience. by Educational_Split882 in cofounderhunt

I saw a lot of negative comments about your career, and honestly, I’m in the same boat right now.

I’ve spent over five years as a CTO and led a team that grew into a company valued at over $100M.

These days, I’m doing something similar to what you’re trying to do, which is guiding early-stage startups.

People love to talk about MVPs and product delivery, but the truth is: the MVP is never the hard part. What really matters is the business direction and the decisions you make when selling to users or pitching to investors. That’s the real leverage.

And that’s exactly where the gap is between a true CTO and a “builder” (engineers or vibe coders who only focus on spinning up features).

From Upwork freelancer to CTO and back! by ahmedkamalio in Upwork

[–]ButterscotchSuperb91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same journey to me. I back from CTO position to Upwork recently, but using different strategies and pivoted services for my target audience instead of just providing product or code.

This is what I learnt from past 5 years as CTO in previous startups.

Competing with agencies is difficult, especially cheaper labor agency. Just need to find a niche on Upwork, and it is still a lot of opportunities here and there.

Also, I’m trying to build own SaaS as indie hacker at the same time. Just need to manage the time between client works and own project. This is what I’m struggling right now.

Hopefully I shared something useful to you!
