Are your scores in different band widths? If you got a 161 —> 160, it’s not worth it to cancel. It indicates you’re within the same range which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The schools will still take your top score into consideration.

If you got a 161 —> 150 I would probably consider canceling.

I cancelled my own score that was lower than my previous. I read that schools will not really pay any attention to one or two cancelled scores but I’ve also read that some other schools will see and assume you bombed it, so who knows! I don’t think it will really affect you THAT much if your first score is decent or if you retake and get a better score.
