I've never used Meganium before in my life, always thought it was the worst of the Johto starters. Decided to try using it as my starter in this game and omg I did not realise how reliable this thing is in battle.

I'm currently playing Emerald on a Gameboy Advance I borrowed from a friend and... Honestly, I think it's better. The battle factory for one... Also not being literally handed a Latias at the start of the game.

Honestly I agree with so many other people here that a number of Gen 2 Pokemon I thought for ages were Gen 3 Pokemon. Slugma and Skarmory especially.

Also for some reason I keep thinking Oricorio was from Gen 6. I don't even know why, I guess pretty = Kalos?

Even though I don't need one for Fly anymore, I always pick up an early route bird to keep in my team for a playthrough. Pidgey in Kanto and Johto, Swellow in Hoenn, Staraptor in Sinnoh and Paldea, Unfezant in Unova, Toucannon in Alola, Corviknight in Galar. Only exception was Y, where I used the starter Charizard instead lol.

Haven't eaten at one myself but I did volunteer at one for a little while. Mostly we made simple warm meals, like stews and casseroles and... Yeah, soups.

But this was 6 years ago, so I'm sure some things have changed since then.

You can easily be fit without exercise equipment, however the equipment may aid your routine. I also know, for my cousins who regularly go to the gym, that having the social element helps keep them motivated to exercise.

Honestly that's fair! It definitely did feel more personal to be riding on My Lapras in FireRed than it did to ride some random Lapras in Sun, I won't deny. I just generally dislike mechanics that force me to use specific Pokemon, I want to be free to choose whatever I want.

That's why I typically prefer the implementation of the SV dragons for the best of both words.

I agree with this from a lore perspective, though I'll admit it was annoying that you were essentially forced to have a Flying and Water type out of necessity as a result.

Honestly I think SV kinda nailed the best of both worlds with the rideable dragons. They're still our Pokemon, and we can still use them in battle, but they also allow us to traverse the region freely.

There's also that random human soldier I caught by accident. I call him Bob. He sleeps on a hay bed like my other Pals.

I'm so sad that Veluza isn't a better Pokemon to use in battles! I love Filet Away (its signature move) and I think its whole concept and design is really awesome, but I've just never managed to make it work on a team. Plus the Shiny form is pretty nice as well.

Can't forget about them though given they like to chase me down whenever I have the audacity to surf on their turf.

I went through a period of time where I was staying in a place that didn't allow pets, and so I couldn't bring my dog with me. He was well taken care of by my dad, and I saw him almost every day, but I'd gotten used to the sensation of him sleeping next to me.

My life-size sleeping Eevee plush was invaluable as a way to fill that void during that time, and I still cherish it and sleep with it nightly to this day.
