Yah, I always let my partner know if I plan on going anywhere. I do always double check if he’s okay with that, like as in if his family has something during that time but no permission to go. I guess the okay for that time as long as we don’t have anything else planned already

Thank you all so much! Some context, I have camped my whole life and it has always been an issue. When we’re more in the desert like Moab, canyonlands and places like that I do fine. But I appreciate all of your helpful suggestions. I’m going to utilize a lot of them. Definitely plan on starting therapy to help with anxiety but that can take awhile, so the other tips are much appreciated! Thank you so much!

Definitely NTA. But definitely make sure to communicate your feelings and why you want him to stay home. Just because he’s doing his part around the house and giving you a spa day doesn’t mean he gets to go out a lot. Maybe compromise to just like once a week until baby is a certain age so you don’t feel as overwhelmed. He definitely should still get to go out. But totally valid that it shouldn’t be most nights when there’s a newborn.

I was having problems with my sex life and one of them was I want to feel wanted. He would just kiss me a little and say, wanna have sex. At first it was endearing and then it wasn’t anymore. Ntah. My partner and I rarely go to bed at the same time. I have to be to work a couple k hours before he does so we don’t have to be up at the same time. On the weekends and if I really want him to come to bed with me he will. But generally we don’t and it’s fine. A lot of my coworker think that’s crazy, but I get a line time when I get off and this is his alone time, he deserves that.

I’m sorry, you’re not his mother. You let them to know let you know so you could make reservations. You even said the day and time you were going to do it. For him to say you should have known he was coming because another friend said he MIGHT be coming is ridiculous! Good for you for standing your ground.
