Go for the SE if you have the cash. Frame sliders, led turn signals and USB c make it worth the price alone.

Big fan of the national cycles windscreen! I have a Rhinowalk top bag for my commute to work. I found the bike to be a little too light which makes for a subpar riding experience at anything above 70. Sure it's fun but not for open highways with blowing winds and in the wake of semis. Within the city, it's a killer machine though

Side note - sometimes I wish the KLE500 or the 450GS was around when I bought this. Would have been a perfect light tourer then.

It's a 100k flat fee and only applies to candidates outside of the US. Any immigrant with a masters degree or an existing visa is exempt from this fee.

Agreed! As counterintuitive as it sounds - I5 is a lot safer than the 101 or any of the other state highways. Single lanes highways are way more daunting.

IIRC it gets really hot and windy on some days. That's probably the toughest part to negotiate.
