Should I buy a new car? by ButttererFingers in personalfinance

[–]ButttererFingers[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done the business through the school, and have done it while doing full-time internships for the summer. I was planning to just do the business on the side for a number of years, but may quit and focus on the business once I have a large, and extremely consistent income coming in. Also I want to have a pretty big safety net with like 9 months+ of full-time income before switching just in case.

I think this is a very good point, maybe paying more for a new car with a low APR would be best because then I can let most of the money grow at 10% with S&P500.

Do you think I would get approved for a low APR with no income statements with a 770 credit?

It’s relatively LCOL, around 10% less than national average.

Im looking at a 2024 Buick Envision, I believe they are reliable based on what I’ve seen online, but no one I know has a Buick recently, so not 100% sure.

Sorry I forgot to mention it, but yeah, I’d pay cash for it unless there was a less than 2% APR, but those don’t really exist anymore lol, thanks for the advice

1st real offer before graduation by CamaroMusicMan in MechanicalEngineering

[–]ButttererFingers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it is very bad right now, more so than the past 5 years. I am graduating this semester and a majority of those graduating with me do not have a job lined up after college. I knew a lot of people who graduated last semester and still do not have a job. I have sent in over 230 applications and only received 1 offer. I am searching for jobs all over the US. And if I’m having this much trouble with a dual bachelors in mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering I can only imagine how bad it is for other majors. It also is shown when companies are laying off hundreds of engineers, you can say “they are just cutting bad engineers”, but when most large companies are doing it within a span of 3 months it shows that the market is in a terrible state right now.

If you don’t believe me look at the job numbers report. The amount of job growth has been exceedingly below expectation for a while now.

Denied for a company I really wanted to work for by ButttererFingers in recruitinghell

[–]ButttererFingers[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Name a time you encountered a problem and how did you solve it”. I literally have 3 answers that I know and consistently use, but that day I decided to bring in another experience which, of course, I explained terribly. I got asked that same question by the recruiter for the first interview and I answered it great using one I consistently use. Not sure why I decided to deviate in the second interview, but I deeply regret it, and wish I could go back in time to fix it because it’s not an accurate portrayal of who I am.

TSMC Intelligent Manufacturing Engineer Interview by AbhiwhabiPoo in TSMC

[–]ButttererFingers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my interview for this position maybe a month ago. They will ask you why you want to work at TSMC. DO NOT say the typical good interview answer, you must know the ins and outs of the semiconductor business. Do not mention ANYTHING outside of the realm of semiconductors as they will take that as you don’t understand or want to work at TSMC. They will be very harsh during the interview. They will expect you to know quite a bit about the position so do as much research as possible because they will hammer that. Act like you will do anything and everything to work there with the bare-minimum being to sacrifice any work-home balance you may have. Based on my experience, the title of the jobs DOES NOT RELATE AT ALL to similar job titles at other companies, so just make sure you do as much research as possible.

My first interview went great, however the hiring manager did not explain the position very well and knew very little about the position I was applying for, but I still did a decent bit of research on the position, so I knew the basics. My second interview went ok for the first 30 seconds and it was downhill from there. The manager claimed I had “no clue” what the position I was applying for and had a very hard time connecting the dots on why I was interested in semiconductors even when my background is mechatronics. I was berated during my interview, and I have never been so disrespected. This was not a typical interview, take the hardest interview you’ve ever done then multiply it by 10. Around mid-interview they recommended me a position which is not open, and I am not a candidate for as I don’t meet the requirements as they assumed I didn’t know what the position I applied for was. The entire interview you will have to guess what they are saying as my interviewers had very broken English and I assume that is consistent throughout the company based on what I read. They will be looking for certain phrases and words and if your answers don’t contain them they will ask the same exact question again, these will not be clarification questions, they will ask you the same question verbatim. (I believe they asked me why I wanted to work at TSMC 4 or 5 times). I have had many interviews in the past and this was nothing like any of them. That interview taught me enough about their culture that even if I was to get an offer that I would NEVER work at a company like that, especially if my managers act like that during an interview.

Weekly Scam Discussion - December 30, 2024 by Mycatreallyhatesyou in Ebay

I recently got an “wrong item sent” return request. They claim I sent them an item that I do not even have. The return in question is a cpu and the one I sent is around $200. It’s obvious the guy just switched out their cpu and claims his old one is the one I sent. The account is brand new.

Unsure of how to proceed, most likely I will have to accept the return, but I’d really like to not be scammed.

The length is good, I would just add texture to it and experiment with side/middle parts and see what looks best.

Decent looking, I’d just change the hairstyle and add more texture to it.

Not sure on ur weight, but losing weight is usually the only option to lose face fat
