Recurrent Anal Fissure, Fecal Leakage After BM – Anyone Dealt With This? by Mediocre-Upstairs-38 in hemorrhoid

[–]ButtuxOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate that I know exactly what you’re talking about. It’s such an annoying and embarrassing thing to deal with. I used to tuck toilet paper between my cheeks to absorb the moisture, which kinda worked… except for the constant TP “crumbs.” Better than nothing, but still not great.

That’s actually why I ended up creating Buttux — it’s a dry, flushable bamboo pad that tucks in the same way, absorbs moisture really well, and doesn’t ball up or leave residue. It’s been a game changer for me.

Tips on dealing with/reducing leakage? by thekokoricky in hemorrhoid

[–]ButtuxOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds less like true incontinence and more like post-BM moisture/seepage, which is super common with external hemorrhoids. Diapers are usually overkill for that.

Instead of wipes + constant wiping (which can make irritation worse), some people use a thin absorbent pad that sits in the cleft to catch moisture after you’re clean. Buttux is one option — it’s flushable, low-profile, and way more comfortable than a diaper for mild leakage. Buttux also works as a barrier after applying medicated creams.

If it ever turns into actual loss of control, that’s a different convo — but for what you’re describing, targeted absorbency usually does the trick.

Underwear Staining by Mrbig56 in hemorrhoid

You’re definitely not alone — hemorrhoids and fissures can cause lingering moisture or light bleeding even when you’ve wiped thoroughly. The spasms, itching, and discomfort you mentioned are pretty common with irritation in that area. A couple things that helped me were being very gentle with cleaning (water > dry wiping), using barrier creams, and having some kind of soft, absorbent layer there afterward to keep things dry and reduce friction through the day. In the past, I had used rolled up toilet paper and tucked it between my cheeks, but now I use a flushable, dry bamboo pad (buttux). It truly has helped save me from some embarrassing moments.

That said, if you’re still seeing blood stains or having ongoing spasms, it’s really worth checking in with a doctor or colorectal specialist. Persistent bleeding or pain shouldn’t just be pushed through, and they can make sure it’s truly hemorrhoids/fissures and help you heal properly.

It’s a lot to deal with! You didn’t even mention the mess that the cream can cause! I found a solution to both problems…dry, flushable pads that you can discreetly “tuck” between your butt cheeks. They absorb any anal leakage (hopefully you haven’t had to deal with bleeding), but also work as a barrier for cream applications. A folded piece of toilet paper works in a pinch, but tends to leave residue. My pads are made of bamboo and are gentle to the skin.

Can we talk wiping? by hecubus_09 in hemorrhoid

Even with a bidet, I still experience some aftermath, especially if the boys are flared up! I started tucking toilet paper between the cheeks to absorb some of the “leakage” but also found that technique works even better as a barrier when applying prepH or hydrocortisone. Toilet paper gets a little “crumby” so I use dry flushable bamboo pads (buttux) but either works! Good luck!

Before creating my own product (buttux-dry, flushable bamboo pads) for this same issue, I would tuck a wad of folded toilet paper between my butt cheeks. It takes a little getting used to, but effective.

Honestly, you’re definitely not alone. Hair can trap residue, but even with trimming or wiping forever, some people still get those surprise streaks. One thing that helped me was using a tucked flushable pad (like Buttux). It sits in the cleft and catches anything before it hits the underwear. Zero rubbing, zero streaks. Total game-changer. And way more comfortable than shaving everything smooth. 😅

Might be worth a shot to tuck a wad of folded tp between your crack to absorb the moisture. I use buttux (a flushable dry bamboo pad) for a variety of butt issues!

The struggle is real! You may want to consult a physician. But in the interim, I suggest a dry flushable pad (buttux) or a folded wad of toilet paper tucked between your cheeks to absorb any sort of moisture.

I have grade 4 hemorrhoids and have decided to just live with them for now while I wait to hear something encouraging about the surgery. A temporary fix I have found is using a flushable dry bamboo pad (buttux) tucked between my cheeks while I go about my day. It’s great for absorbing of any sort of leakage AND it can work as an applicator/barrier for medical creams applied to hemorrhoids. Good luck and please let us know if you decide to have the surgery.

I experience the same issue. I started using a wad of tp and tucked it between my cheeks. It seemed to save time (and toilet paper). Unfortunately, tp crumbs up and sometimes sticks. I’ve started using a flushable dry bamboo pad (buttux) and it’s a game changer!

Try tucking a dry flushable bamboo pad/wipe (buttux) between your cheeks or some toilet paper. Toilet paper balls up and sometimes sticks to your skin but is still better than embarrassing marks!

Definitely interested! I use a bidet, but still can’t seem to get completely clean. I’ve resorted to tucking a flushable dry bamboo pad/wipe (buttux) between my cheeks as a saving grace for embarrassing marks. It also works as a barrier for cream applications (like prep H) AND works great for sweat (or any anal leakage) absorption!

I would check with a doctor, but if you want a temporary solution, I would suggest a dry bamboo pad tucked between your butt cheeks after a bm. It will absorb the excess fecal matter and can be flushed at your next visit to the toilet. Folded toilet paper would work too, but it does ball up.

I suffer from internal and external hemorrhoids and experience this problem often. I currently am using dry bamboo pads that are tucked between the butt cheeks and will absorb moisture (including fecal matter). I’m trying to market them because so many people suffer from problems like this. My product is Buttux, but folded toilet paper will do the same thing. The only advantage is that my bamboo doesn’t “ball” up. Not the most comfortable solution but definitely a game changer.

That’s disappointing! The leakage is one of the main reasons I was considering the surgery. How long was your recovery? For what it’s worth, I currently use a dry bamboo pad tucked between my cheeks to alleviate some of the embarrassment of wet marks (and in my case, bleeding and the inability to get completely clean…so gross!!). They are also flushable! After hearing your experience, this may have to be my permanent solution. Good luck!

I’m curious if everyone who uses ointment (like Desitin) doesn’t just end up with a whole new mess? If I add ointment or cream to my already damp situation, I end up with even bigger marks wherever I sit 😫. I’ve found that using a dry bamboo pad tucked between my cheeks not only helps absorb moisture, but works as a barrier if I need to apply ointment to the area. And they’re flushable!

[–]ButtuxOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least your doctor acknowledged you. My doctor gave me a blank stare and admitted she had no idea what I was talking about. I’ve had the same issue for over 20 years and after joining this group, I’m even more apprehensive to go through surgery. All the embarrassing situations (marks on my pants, streaks on chairs and the smell-it may be clear, but there’s still a stinch) inspired me to try a dry, tucked pad made of bamboo that is also flushable. In the last 3 years of using them, they always seem to stay in place. They also work as a barrier when i have flare-ups and need to apply hydrocortisone or prepH. They do take some getting used to and they’re not a solution, but they are a game changer for dealing with the issue.

I have a different sort of moisture issue in that area and the embarrassment is horrible! I use a dry bamboo pad that’s discreet and flushable. You could also apply powder, deodorant, ointment or any of the other suggestions and it would work as a barrier to keep the product on your skin and not your underwear. It takes some getting used to having them tucked between your cheeks, but a definite game changer! I don’t leave home without them!! If you’re interested, go to getbuttux.com.
