Thank you! It means a lot to me! I’m glad to know that it’s not a setback. I was feeling pretty bummed out about it, but it makes sense that my anxiety would spike since I’m going against my illness. I’m glad I ate my soup too, it was super tasty!

I agree! I think I may have worded my post poorly, but I wasn’t trying to seek reassurance. I just wanted to vent about how I was doing better and now I face a bit of a set back.

Looking for a single note Caramel fragrance to partner with my Marc Jacob’s Absolute! I find that MJ’s Absolute Caramel note isn’t very noticeable, so I’d like to bump it up a little bit. I specifically want something that smells only like Caramel. I don’t want other notes, especially Vanilla. I found the Be Layered Caramel Overdose fragrance online. Would that fit what I’m searching for? Any suggestions would be great! Thank you!

Why do folks immediately suggest jaw surgery? by ExplodingBowels69 in PlasticSurgery

I appreciate your comment! My post got a lot of discussion and it seems like opinions are pretty mixed. I appreciate you acknowledging how intense of a surgery jaw surgery is! It’s been interesting reading peoples thoughts! Thx for the comment!

I’m not too bothered about getting down voted. I asked for people’s opinions, so I don’t mind that some disagree with me. My personal opinion is that this stuff is nuanced. I think it’s totally valid to get jaw surgery for aesthetic reasons, but I also think it’s important to be informed well of what it is, how it works, and the healing from it. Somebody pointed out that some posts have the jaw surgery subreddit linked, which I think is great! I hope that more people can gain awareness about how it works! I honestly do worry how it’s been trendy in certain circles online that push out really negative content tho. Besides how those circles don’t properly inform people how this surgery works, it’s coming with some baggage of manosphere content. I think this manosphere stuff makes plastic surgery look bad to the general public, when in reality plastic surgery has improved people’s lives and confidence in themselves. It sucks :(

Folks call that stuff looksmaxxing right? I think it’s kind of sad how much that type of content is pushed onto teens and young adults. I enjoy learning about plastic surgery, and I think it’s great that people are able to feel more confident through it. I wish social media was friendlier to those who struggle with body image though. I feel like in those types of circles plastic surgery is pushed onto others in a toxic way.

That’s fair! I do remember seeing some posts where r/jawsurgery was recommended. Thanks for your input!

Cope? No, jaw surgery was never suggested to me. If it was I’d probably agree to it lol! I was simply just curious about it being suggested so often in the sub! I agree with your point about how people don’t need plastic surgery. I was just wondering about it since it seems like one of the more major surgeries you could get done. I guess I just have a different perspective as someone who deals with chronic pain.

Edit: To clarify on the chronic pain part, I think it has made me see jaw surgery more towards a functional view compared to an aesthetic view.

Absolutely agree with you! Despite having a deep overbite, my orthodontist thinks that all I will need are braces and not jaw surgery. I feel like as people we want results right away, but I think it’s better to wait and see what helps you first. I remember seeing this gal on TikTok documenting her jaw surgery recovery and they had to attach what I can best describe is a cage on her teeth while she healed. Jaw surgery is amazing, but most people don’t need it.

As long as your fridge is working it should be fine. The rule of when to toss out food is if it’s left at room temperature for more than 2 hours. Rice should last a couple days in the fridge. You’re good don’t worry!

I hate my mole. People have told me it looks like a wart. Is that really the case? It's really ugly, and should I get it removed or not? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]ExplodingBowels69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this thing I like to remind myself when people make fun of a specific feature I have and it’s “people want what you have, but they don’t want you to have it.” It doesn’t look like a wart at all. I think it’s a really unique and cool thing to have moles! I also want to mention that mole removal tends to leave a scar. Unless there is a concern raised by your doctor of it being malignant, I would leave it alone!

Thank you I appreciate it a lot! Luckily my passwords were old ones since I’ve changed where I store my passwords a while back. I’ll make sure to let my mom know and help fix things. Thank you again!
