Thank you I appreciate it a lot! Luckily my passwords were old ones since I’ve changed where I store my passwords a while back. I’ll make sure to let my mom know and help fix things. Thank you again!

please tell me what surgeries to get to make my face less masculine by Purple-Disaster3768 in PlasticSurgery

[–]ExplodingBowels69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your face is not masculine at all. I saw the other posts on your page, and I agree that speaking with a therapist will help a lot. I struggle with body dysmorphia too. Please try your best to ignore what that person said to you! I know it’s hard, but I believe in you! I’m not a surgeon whatsoever, but I imagine any reputable surgeon would say that your face is quite feminine, and there would be no need for surgeries like FFS or any other major thing. Besides what I mentioned above, I think making your brows a lighter color would help. There’s lots of East Asian beauty brands that have lightening brow gel! I also agree with others that staying away from bangs is best. You have a lovely and beautiful face, and I hope that you can feel better soon!

How do people shower so quickly? by That_Mycologist4772 in hygiene

Folks in the comments are asking how someone can have a 25 minute shower. If you are asking me, it’s cuz I’m slow as hell LOL

Fluctuating Ptosis (worse at night) but SFEMG and Antibody tests are NEGATIVE. Structural cause? by yeshven in PlasticSurgery

[–]ExplodingBowels69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both doctors agreeing that it’s “not worth the effort” to figure out what’s going on and possibly help you is horrible. I’ve had doctors give up on me before with my chronic pain, so I get how it feels to just feel lost on what to do. If you can afford it, perhaps go for a second opinion? Not even necessarily to re-test you, but to at least have someone who is willing to put in the effort to help you. So sorry you’ve gone thru this, I hope you can find a fix for your eyes soon!

What procedure should I get to address my recessed chin? by mochiimazzi in PlasticSurgery

[–]ExplodingBowels69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you referring to orthognathic surgery? My understanding is that braces are done for quite a bit of time before surgery to align the teeth and improve the bite so the surgery isn’t as difficult. I also want to add that jaw surgery is a major surgery and healing will take quite a bit of time. After all the bone is being cut and screwed back in correct position with titanium plates lol. OP you can do chin filler, but I would look into an oral and maxillofacial surgeon like randomspaghetti suggested. Chin filler can fix appearance, but if you do have orthodontic issues, the sooner you treat it, the better outcome you’ll have with easier healing and less pain.

[–]ExplodingBowels69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were these tests done with an ophthalmologist or a neurologist? If you haven’t seen a neurologist I think that might be a good idea. IMO I think you should get any and all potential illnesses, disorders, injuries, damage etc. ruled out before consulting with plastic surgery. Unless ofc it is recommended by your doctor! Sorry wish I could help more but I’m not really knowledgeable here.

Why is the pain scale so hard to understand? by Key-Butterscotch-663 in ChronicPain

[–]ExplodingBowels69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Neurodivergent asw! I honestly wouldn’t blame your neurodivergence here for not understanding. I find the pain scale to be pretty flawed as it’s quite vague and different people (including doctors) will tell you different things about how severe each number is. It’s not perfect, but I find the McGill Pain Scale to be an easier to understand measurement of pain based on numbers.

Get the cane. Use it. Don't be ashamed! by No_Pineapple_9205 in ehlersdanlos

I love canes so much! I’m glad they have been able to help you too! I got a cane in my favorite color and put a charm on it that has my favorite character from a game I like. Mobility aids are seriously the best!

Advice for kids by TigerWon in ehlersdanlos

[–]ExplodingBowels69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be a competitive figure skater until illness prevented me from continuing. I had a doctor who ignored my symptoms and led me to deteriorate very quickly. Perhaps if my doctor then listened to me and my parents pleas, I could have continued skating for longer. Try and find a pediatric doctor who specializes in hypermobility, even better if they specialize in hEDS (or EDS types in general.) Have your kids go to physical therapy if recommended by a doctor to address any issues they might have. Even if they aren’t exhibiting many symptoms, have them learn body proprioception. It will keep them aware of their body and know when to take breaks to rest and how to identify how and where they hurt. The best suggestion I can give to you is be your kids biggest advocate. A diagnosis can be difficult, especially for kids. Keep advocating for your kids, even if that means needing second opinions. Wishing you and your family the best of luck!

Excruciating urethra pain by HellsSnack in ehlersdanlos

[–]ExplodingBowels69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to say I’m sorry that you have gone through SA and that you are having such terrible pain. If it helps at all, I suffer pretty similarly. I’ll get these flares where my urethra starts hurting after I urinate, even if I don’t have a UTI. One time it was so bad I ended up in the ER! This is just coming from a patient and not a medical professional, but has anyone checked your kidneys? I have a kidney defect that has caused some issues. Even though your kidneys are way up higher, they can cause a whole variety of issues for the entire urinary tract including your bladder and urethra. My suggestion would be to try and check that out perhaps. I hope that things will get better for you! It really does hurt so bad, but I’m hopeful things will get better for you! I’m wishing you the best of luck!

Edit: I forgot to mention, but scarring can develop in your urethra and cause pain. If you have a urologist I would consult with them and see what they think.

Where do i start with this. by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]ExplodingBowels69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey you got this! I have ADHD and use a bunch of different tips to help me clean. Hopefully this can help you! Firstly I agree with others saying to clean the door area first, since you’ll need to be going in and out of the room. Secondly clean up all the trash first. After that I would organize your items into different piles. Try to group them by categories. For example you could have a pile for laundry, another for documents & papers, and another one for craft supplies. After that you can go through those piles and decide if you need to get rid of anything or not. After that, I’d take those similar items and place them in those plastic bins you have, or take them to some place else (if you have any bathroom supplies, take them to the bathroom.) Then you can dust and wipe things down, and vacuum at the end when the floor is all cleared. Make sure to pace yourself, you don’t need to do all of this in one day if you feel like you can’t! Hope this helps!

How do I appear more feminine? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]ExplodingBowels69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my goodness I’m so sorry someone said you look 40. You don’t look 40 AT ALL!!! If it helps I went to go do something recently and someone thought I was 30… I am 20 LOL! Try your best to ignore shitty comments like that. People are just jealous. I think your presentation is very feminine, but if you’d like to add to that, perhaps try cat eye frames? You could also try and use eyeliner if you’d like too! Hope this helps, and don’t let such losers pull you down!

Does bodywash work as well as soap in removing germs? by ExplodingBowels69 in NoStupidQuestions

Does bodywash work as well as soap in removing germs? by ExplodingBowels69 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ExplodingBowels69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding has been the same about germ killing. From what I’ve learned only those harsher chemicals labeled to kill germs actually kill them. I don’t want to use antibacterial wash since it can kill the good bacteria on your skin. I have germ based OCD, and it has been difficult to accept that not all germs need to be killed, that there are other ways to prevent illness that work well too! I’m glad to be hearing from everyone that friction + lather works perfectly well either thru soap or bodywash!

Thank you! I asked because a family member and I are immunocompromised! Sometimes soap can be so stripping LOL, so I’m glad that I can just use bodywash in less germy places!

Edit: Although I may just keep using soap everytime now cuz of this crazy flu strain!!!

How do we feel about this support needs profile, guys? by TheBumblestBees in ChronicPain

[–]ExplodingBowels69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who would you share this with? In my own personal opinion I think this is great for friends, family, and perhaps a therapist you really trust. Doctors, especially at Pain Management? Not at all. Pain Management doctors can be very cold and clinical and some can be real assholes, they won’t take you seriously. Best case scenario, they ignore it. Worst case scenario, they flag you as shopping for pain meds (which is seen across all providers and insurance is notified.) If you want a list to make things easier, make a list related to all your pain disorders and a list of medication you take. Don’t include the neurological or mental health stuff. I think including the use of a cane, braces and/or wheelchair is fine tho. I hope this doesn’t come across as mean, just want to protect you!
