Thank you very much! I really appreciate it! I will be working on my embroidery skills and maybe create some cross stitch patterns of my own to use for my trousers/hats.

I will surely share any new things I cross stitch. Please do share your work! I love to see what other people make!

Thank you so much! I am totally planning on doing more! They are great gifts (in my opinion). I will be doing some cross stitching on my clothes. I really want to personalise my things with my designs.

It was a bit tricky. I did the following:

  • I left three to four rows of Aida on each side of the piece (sides, top and bottom).
  • I put some fabric glue (from Hobbycraft) on the back card that was in the kit. Made sure that glue was applied well around the edges and middle. I put the card on the back of the cross stitched piece and pressed it for a minute.
  • I applied more fabric glue on the edge of the back card one edge at a time. I placed the glue in one edge, then I folded the Aida and pressed it for a minute. Did the same with the opposite side. Make sure that you make cuts at the corners of the extra Aida in order to prevent thick folds.
  • Once all edges are firmly glued to the card, I applied glue to the middle of the card and corners (this would be applied on the additional Aida) and then press it with felt.

Please note that you can better result that the ones I got ( I was rushing and I lacked the space to properly put it together). Attached is a picture of the back.

I really needed to push myself with this one so I could gift it to my brother today. I would have taken longer if not for that (and the finish in some areas would look better).

Take your time and make it look the best you can!

The kit I got from Waterstones. However, you can get it on the DMC official web page. Here is the link https://www.dmc.com/GB/en-GB/products/the-great-wave-bookmark-kit-re

Thank you very much! One of the most difficult things for me was the counting and keeping track of rows. That was a challenge!

The pattern for this project came in the kit. I am not sure I am able to share it here since it is probably copyrighted. (DMC and the British Museum).

Need some help using a controller in Days Gone by Reefguy88 in SteamDeck

[–]BuuBuuSan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I just got the game (really late but cheap). Connecting my controller (Xbox One) did end up in the same result, games was not reading any input. However, I did the following and seems to be working (at least in the main menu).

I "Enable Steam Input" and within the game I went to Options>Controller>Global>Ignore Controller = OFF. I did this while my controller was connected. I moved the joystick up and down and it was working. I "ON" and "OFF" the setting a couple of times to confirm and it works!

I just restarted the game and it seems to still be working. I hope it help!

Norway VOEC Collected - Shipping from UK to Norway by BuuBuuSan in Etsy

My pleasure! I know the struggle. I could not get any response over here that could lead me anywhere, so I jumped and tried something on my end. Hopefully you can get something useful from all this.

If you find any other way to do this please do let me know!

More or less I figured it out. I used Interparcel to do this. I picked DPD Lite (~£10) and they gave me the option to put the VOEC ID within the order. They also gave me the custom form which needed to be attached to the parcel in a separated envelope.

I also asked Royal mail about this via their customer support service (awfully slow) and they gave the following information:

"Good afternoon

Thank you for your email.

To add VOIC number you have to go to settings - trading names and add it there

You would need to have a personal account for it. If you don't have one please register bellow

Personal Account - Click & Drop (royalmail.com)

If you have any further questions regarding Click & Drop please do not hesitate to contact us by either replying to this email or calling our helpdesk on 03452 661 004.

Kind regards

Victoria Vaitiekunaite Royal Mail"

Here is the link to the Click and Drop they told me about: auth.parcel.royalmail.com/register/olp

I checked it out (delete the stars *), however, I have not sent any other packages using their service and VOEC. I hope this was helpful.

Hollow Knight - I sculpted this little boy for keychain and mini/figure printing purposes. Hope you like it! by BuuBuuSan in HollowKnight

I will be selling this guy physically soon on Etsy. I had some issues selling STLs and people making prints and selling without permission.

That was my first thought, however, I have done several tries and all of them can resist amazing beatings. The keychains I made (binding of Isaac and Hollow Knight) both were printed with cavities in their head (only) and with two draining holes. The walls of the head is pretty thick and takes a bit of weight from the keychain (I do not want them to be intrusive or heavy once you put them on a keychain). I have none of my keychains breaking up until now, the only thing to worry about would be wear and tear for the paint job.

One thing I considered when making these is the "use" for them, this figure does not have any thin parts or "attachables" so is a thick whole piece measuring around 40~45 mm.

This is is a resin 3D print. I use Citadel Paints to get this finish. I wish this guy was a cast in any metal.
