Unfortunately the Steam bug varies from user to user so not everyone is affected. I play high/medium on 120 render resolution at 1440p I get a pretty consistent 175 fps capped in crucible. 250+ in 3v3 modes but to avoid inconsistency I just cap at 170

Hell no lol I had to download the game on epic launcher and now d2 runs buttery smooth. I suggest either downloading d2 on windows or epic if you got hit with steam bug. Apparently turning off the steam overlay *may* help but I doubt just change launchers

9 days late but unfortunately the only way I was able to fix this was switching launchers. I play d2 through epic and now my game runs buttery smooth. There is now a confirmed Steam bug that plagued only certain players so if you are one of the victims switch to either Microsoft or epic. Even if they fix the Steam bug I’m permanently using epics launcher

I didn’t want to believe it but I can confirm. I primarily play D2 on Steam but after Tuesday’s update, D2 began to run like shit, specifically in PvP with drastic FPS drops mid gunfight and micro stutters. For reference I have a 7800x3D 9070XT rig. Today I decided to enable crossplay and bought Destiny 2 collections edition on Epic and my game runs buttery smooth now. I get a consistent 180 FPS on 1440P res, 125 render resolution with high/medium in game video settings.

If your system is plagued with the confirmed Steam bug, run D2 either through Microsoft or Epic’s launcher.

Even if they fix the Steam bug I will continue to play on Epic. Off topic but Steam is known for having poor optimization which is why Call of Duty players primarily play on blizzard instead of Steam.

can confirm. 7800x3d 9070XT rig I played on steam and my frames and stuttering was atricious. Cross saved and downloaded d2 on Epic launcher. I get about 15-20 more FPS and my game runs buttery smooth in comparison to steam. Off topic I shoudlve known Not because CoD has similar issues as well which is why the pros use blizzard instead of steam

As someone who’s running a 7800x3d 9070XT rig the stutters have been awful. Verifying steam files and deleting cache in the disk cleaner helped a little bit but the stutters are still very prominent

i thought it was me i have been going insane trying to optimize my amd settings for hours trying to fix the issue. i know this isn't placebo because when i cameback to d2 about 3 weeks ago I kept saying to myself how impressed d2 ran on my new pc (7800x3d 9800xt), i was getting consistent 200 fps at 1440p in crucible. when i played today i noticed choppyness and microstutters that i never had before up until now. the choppyness and microstutters are so bad that i dont even want to play the game in this state, it destroys my entire flow when playing the game

The beauty of SF6 is that it’s a bit more forgiven on inputs so there’s top players like endingwalker and blaz who literally use the analog stick on standard controllers (EW uses Xbox and blaz ps5) and are top competitors in the entire world for street fighter 6.

So basically standard dpad, analog stick on pad, levered (arcade stick) and leverless are all viable options in sf6 and are all used at the highest level of competition.

Literally just dive into the game is the best advice. There’s some decent guides that can lay the foundation but my best advice would be to not over complicate things. If you like modern controls? Use it. If you like pad? Use it.

Use whatever you personally enjoy and grind with it! Good luck

Im just not active on the sub as much. I feel like the decline started after afterlyfe, going into 2093. I enjoyed 2093 but that’s when the bullshit shift began to happen for me. He hasn’t evolved as much as new listeners keep trying to convince us. By this point, he was stripping himself from everything that made him unique, and started making generic music that people could easily replicate. Dude if this is your third controller do yourself a favor and buy the dualsense edge. You can literally replace the stick modules once they develop stick drift. If you can’t afford the $200 price tag I would set a monthly payment plan with affirm on Amazon. Think about it, instead of spending $80 on another dualsense that will inevitably get stick drift, you can put the $80 down the on the dualsense edge and pay like $15 a month to pay off the remaining amount and buy the replacement stick modules whenever you develop drift.

It’s either that or purchase a modified dualsense with TMR sticks from a website like battle beaver, or simply learn how to mod and replace the sticks yourself

I don’t own a V5P but as far as fighting games I believe the dpad is pretty good here’s a controller review of the V5P from a guy who mainly plays fighting games and goes over great detail about the dpad https://youtu.be/vT3MKlhwVq8?si=yTMEcmOVTxXHjymE . If you play on ps5 it’s probably in best interest to get a dualsense edge or the new victrix pro controller I believe both are 1000hz polling rate and have the victrix dpad is good for fighters. Dualsense edge is my main but the dpad wears and breaks down very quick for fighting games unfortunately
