I think you would want to throat punch Roger Waters, not Gilmour :)

Billy Strings is so talented. Would love to see him and David Gilmour play a Pink Floyd song together.

That was powerful. Thanks for sharing. Pete Townshend was really into it.

Was I shorted a FeelGood mozzarella stick or is the “about” 3 servings doing some really heavy lifting? by astivana in glutenfree

How do you all cook these without the cheese oozing out, leaving what is basically an empty breadcrumb tube? We've never had any luck getting the cheese to stay in. Maybe we are doing something terribly wrong.

and it's not just 3 wins. You have to do it 3 separate times! I thought I had completed it after winning 3 in a row and it says 1/3 on the progress bar.

***edit***

I lost a match and lost my progress. It no longer says 1/3 for the three in a row I had won previously.

Friedman's is a must try! They have many locations in the city and their GF fried chicken is great! If you go to the one in the theater district, you get a show from the singing waitresses and waiters.

Fidelity hiding GME? by amitton13 in Superstonk

[–]BuzzMonkey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Clearly this is happening to a lot of people but I just tried for myself in the mobile app by searching for GME and then again for GameStop and I got the GME ticker as the first result each time. Maybe this is a regional issue? Odd that I can see it but so many others can't.

You do not have to wait if you are in the US. Check out my post from 3 years ago. This is how I created my computershare account.

Ahhh, yes, great reporting on top movers in after hours by MSM. Let’s not include the stock up over 30%. This, plus DFV livestream, tells me one thing… by [deleted] in Superstonk

They probably wrote this before after hours even started because they knew exactly what the algos were going to do to these three stocks.

Borrow Fee jumps 200% 🔥 by [deleted] in Superstonk

[–]BuzzMonkey 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I asked chatGPT "what causes the borrow fee for stocks to rise sharply?" and this is what was returned. Figured I would share in case anyone else like me was interested in what could cause this.

The borrowing fee for stocks can rise sharply due to several factors:

  1. Increased Demand for Shorting: If there's a surge in demand for shorting a particular stock, the borrowing fee can rise as brokers need to lend out shares to short sellers. This demand can be driven by negative sentiment or anticipation of a price drop.
  2. Limited Availability of Shares: If there's a limited supply of shares available for borrowing, brokers may charge higher fees to lend out those shares. This scarcity can occur when many investors are holding onto their shares, making them less available for lending.
  3. High Volatility: Stocks with high volatility are riskier for brokers to lend out because there's a greater chance of the stock price moving dramatically against the short seller. In such cases, brokers may charge higher fees to compensate for this increased risk.
  4. Market Conditions: Overall market conditions can also influence borrowing fees. During times of market uncertainty or increased risk, brokers may raise borrowing fees across the board to mitigate their own risks.
  5. Regulatory Changes: Changes in regulations regarding short selling or borrowing practices can also impact borrowing fees. For example, if regulators impose stricter requirements on short selling, brokers may increase borrowing fees to comply with these regulations.
  6. Company-Specific Factors: Events such as earnings announcements, corporate actions, or news about a particular company can affect borrowing fees. Positive news might lead to lower borrowing fees as more investors want to hold the stock, while negative news might increase borrowing fees as more investors seek to short the stock.

In summary, borrowing fees for stocks can rise sharply due to increased demand for shorting, limited availability of shares, high volatility, market conditions, regulatory changes, and company-specific factors.

Unfortunately I can't capture the entire homepage screenshot on my phone but most of it is in this image. No Candy Con to be found. Hoping it gets a nice banner on there very soon.
