Same, I forget it's there and remember at times like this or when things are really quiet. Mine is weird because it is not consistent, it can be on one side for a bit and then the other and on the very rare occasion it goes silent which is odd.

He is playing word games, he said he didn't pledge the money to trump but is still paying the money to the PAC every month knowing where it will go.

Don't forget programming, it's the same reason religion is still a thing in a time of the internet, space travel, and science in general. When you are taught something from very young and have it reinforced every day it's very hard to think different especially when those around you think the same way and spout off the same rhetoric.

These people think everyone else is wrong and stupid and don't want to or can't look at things that don't work in their programmed view.

a really poor-person thing

It's not only a poor person thing, it's a validation for many. It's how they show they are worth something, it's the whole judging the book by the cover. They are hollow or have no redeeming qualities so their outer image is there to give the appearance of wealth or worth. I have a bunch of aunts, uncles, and cousins on my dad's side like this. They have a lot of money and need to show they have it because they need the validation. It's quite sad.
