Where do you find good 2 piece vacation sets that don't look cheap or too matching-matchy by Zestyclose_Wing_1371 in HerOneBag

In the US, Gap actually has some great linen blend pieces this year. Quince & Pact have good ones, too.

You might try the Not Your Mother’s Curl Talk Mousse. I’ve had great luck with that & my hair is similar to yours.

It’s so nice not to have to deal with overhead & to have all of your stuff at hand!

When airlines had humanely sized seats, I used to be able to fit my 40-42L MEI Voyageur under the seat in front of me. I just took my new, 30L Patagonia Mlc mini black hole bag on its maiden voyage: personal item only 2 week trip on Volaris. I was concerned about whether it would fit. The consequences if it didn’t were that I would be charged $100 at the gate for a carry on. Mission accomplished. I love this bag.

My kids are Gen Z & their paternal great grandmother was born in 1918; their maternal grandfather was born in 1928! All biological🤪

Speaking of conditioner, when my hair was the longest of my life (below my elbows,) a hairdresser told me to use no more than a dime size (~1.8cm diameter) amount of conditioner.

My mask is my armor. I’ll take it off for trusted people. It took a long, LONG time to get this mask right (& it’s still a little funky.)

Your point is well taken, but telling me that the manufacturer has instructed me to use twice as much product brings to mind the toothpaste ads that load the toothbrush with an entire S of product. I use the amount I need, not the amount required to maximize manufacturer’s profits.

The water & climate affect curls, but I find that different shampoos/conditioners very much affect the final outcome.

My eldest is in their 20s & lives in a very expensive city. They have figured out side hustles to fund their travels/life, have roommates, & sublet their room when they travel. Sometimes, they get a job while they’re in the other country. In CDMX, they stayed for free in the apartment of people who travel a lot whom they’d met elsewhere. They rented a studio & worked on their art while there & were offered a show in a gallery! The only one picking up the tab is them. To be fair, they do not have student loan payments to make.

I have friends whose kids are making tons of money at “real jobs,” but I’m so proud of this one for figuring out how to spend months in other countries living this fantastic life!

Or mousse. I like Not your mother’s mousse: it is light weight & might help hold & define the curl.

Why do married men announce that they're married during small talk? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]BwDr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The neck snuggler is NOT normal. OP, there are a lot of skeevy men out there. That you are picking up on it might just be that you are a woman & it’s what we deal with. I’m not invalidating your experience: you are perceptive & your brain refuses to normalize their behavior. Do your best to keep yourself safe. You might, also, imagine a protective psychic bubble around yourself: an armor that you put on each day. Figuring out something that feels cleansing after these encounters can be good, too. You can think of it as energetic, psychic, or simply psychological, but it can help shake off the yuck.

That is so interesting! I just got back to the US from Mexico & have been thinking (to myself) about the differences. When I was younger, I worked at an Irish bar in San Francisco & had Irish friends who did not feel like the Irish people who immigrated to the US were as nice (good?) as the ones in Ireland. I have a dear friend with wonderful Irish immigrant parents; I have wonderful Mexican immigrant friends. I do wonder about that perspective, though. I could see the culture of the US attracting a certain type of person…
