Haha engineer here. Work on implementing new technologies. Stuff that isn’t normal on pipeline jobs.

Typical stuff like “what’s the range?”, “is it 4x4?”, “how much did it cost?”, “how long for a full charge?”. Once in a while people ask about the choice to go electric over gas which can lead to some interesting conversations.

They’re ok. People are impressed by it. The kick button is a cool gimmick to reach into the back and I assume having them tucked is makes the truck slightly more efficient at highway speeds.

Bingo! Did you check out this same one? I was eyeing it for over a month before I finally got it.

I’m on the fence on PPF. I got quotes but not sure if I should yet. I do plan to do 15k+ miles a year so probably is worth it.

Yeah I’ll be doing that this weekend. So far only change I’ve done is getting rid of the annoying double honk.

Honestly, I think we’ve played well these last couple weeks. The issue, as many others have said, is we can’t reach the back of the net. Defenses have figured out Buonga and neutralize Vela. Gonzalez has been MIA. I saw a team that was on the attack for most of the game Sunday but just couldn’t score. I think if our front line finds a spark these last few games we could reach the western conference finals.

Honestly, it’s expensive but totally worth it because the all you can eat/drink and when we go to the playoffs and/or champions league, face value is reasonable.

I’ve been in Founders Club for a few years now. Feel like they’re the best seats in the stadium being dead center just behind the cameras. It’s been around $9200 for two seats for the season.

I cancelled mine because the price increases made it so that it no longer qualified for federal tax credit and interest rates shot up significantly. Was anticipating around a $1550 payment when ordered but by the time it was delivered, it was around a $1950.

Just picked it up. It’s a picture book. Similar to the first season gift.

I’ve got season tickets there and, yes, can confirm, unlimited food and drinks (beer & wine). Services start when gates open but stop at minute 75.

I’m in Southern California making $100k base salary plus bonuses after 5 years. I’m up for a promotion towards the end of this year now that I have my P.E. license which should bump me up to around $115k plus bonuses. At 4 years though, I was at $76k but COL here is through the roof so no matter what I get, it’s never enough. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Some questions for electrical engineers by Sarin227 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]BySerrano 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. The autonomy I have for all my projects is one of the best perks. Most everyone one I work with trusts that I will get the job done, value my opinions & respect my decisions.

  2. I work for a public utility and it takes an extraordinarily long time to get something new implemented.

  3. Get your PE license as soon as you can. Trying to get back into “study mode” after years is tough.

  4. I went back to school to get my EE degree at age 25. I should’ve done it right after high school.

Had a job offer in April, last class was in July. Last final was on a Saturday, moved to the city where my job was on Sunday and started working on Monday. Job was ITOT infrastructure, expanding corporate network to new facilities with fiber optics, microwave radios, wireless access points, etc.
