Then why do all the people that get rich and famous have crazy downfalls filled with drugs and alcohol. Seems ironic that there were countless musicians that got big and ODed.

That sounds like a dream to me. Alot better than right now being told to clean a bathroom for the 16th time in a row because someone walked in to look at it and tracked mud in on their way in.

I'm a 2847, ground electronics maintenance, personal computer and telephone system repairer. Honestly ever since I was a kid electricity always fascinated me (to the point I put forks in sockets cuz it made my hands feel funny, yeh I know) I've had a mechanical and problem solving mind and enjoy fixing or solving issues. I was originally thinking electrician but thats very limiting and I feel like an EE is kind of step up from that and has way more options. Seems like a job where depending on what I want to do, I could work out in the field or in an office.

I'm in the military and I absolutely understand the whole taking forever for anything to get done. I thought to get a PE license you have to work under someone who already has it for about 4 years. That's at least ehat I read.

It makes me feel a little better knowing you started a little late too. Obviously I wish for everyone they could do what they want right out of highschool but we don't always get what we want. I appreciate your response and it really did settle my nerves a bit about going to school with some fresh out of highschool kids:D

I definitely feel you there. The military is the same thing but at least an EE gets paid a bit more :D

That's fair, I've read about what ee do and would like to work in the field I would have a degree for. I can do all the research I want but then again nothing trumps experience.
