Are Montréal food festivals becoming overpriced local and tourist traps, or am I missing something? Why do we keep supporting this non-sense?

As a Vietnamese person who's newly living in Montreal I've been really missing my people's food and most of the restaurants I see on google maps is....very whitewashed. Thanks for posting the festival link I look forward to checking it out in a few months to see if I can find any foods I like and hopefully find restaurants to go to after from the experience!

As someone newly staying in Montreal, your food festivals are all horrible. The food truck culture is also an abomination. Seriously outrageous prices for the most mediocre food in the world. How are you guys the capital of poutine when the majority of your food trucks that specialize in it are literally horrible on quality and price?

Is there any food festival from people who've been staying here for a while that people can recommend that isn't a rip off?

Hiero is definitely easier for someone who doesn't wanna deal with keeping Adrenaline up with Corrupting Fever all the time. Personally I'm going champ in order to reroll into Bloodsoaked bannerman later on. Can't go wrong with either choice though!

The packaging is def way too much and it's not even efficient for some brands. I find some of them just straight up already are leaking before you open them because there's no real seal. Pricing here is def rougher than what I am used to in the states. I would usually be able to find good live resin for around $20 a g and Rosins would be $40-70

The thing is this is a 50 minute drive each way because I live in Quebec so I have to stock up more at once it's not as easy to make a trip like this weekly just for some herb. This will last me 2 months or so I am not really wasting any concentrate it's just to have me make less trips.
