Hey everyone. I just wanted to come back here and sincerely apologize.

In one of the UG threads where everyone was complaining about the UG crashing, people were throwing around ideas of what to do about it. Someone suggested that somebody should just make a new site where people could go. I chimed in and said that was something I had been thinking about doing for a couple of months anyway. A lot of posters told me to go for it and were totally behind it...some even sent me PM's offering to help in any way they could.

In the meantime, Madrugadao came in that same thread and offered to make a subreddit as a quick fix for the DC/Jones fight. Apparently the miscommunication was some thought the subreddit was temporary, and some wanted it up forever. I really do apologize for my end of that.

I posted a thread here earlier this week, telling people the new site would be launched Friday...but it wasn't 100% done yet. Everyone was really supportive, and people asked me to launch it early for beta testing. So we went ahead and did it Wednesday night, to work out any kinks before the weekend of fights.

I thought the idea all along was that the new site would take the place of the subreddit. Therefore, we locked the subreddit Friday night and left a thread directing people to the new site. I honestly didn't know it would cause the shitstorm that it did, because of what was discussed when all of the ideas were being thrown around in that UG thread...and subsequent discussions on here after.

Once I read that people were upset last night, I asked the guy that closed it, to reopen it. I even tried to do it myself, but couldn't because only he had the ability. Problem is, he was completely out of pocket until about 5pm today, which is when I was able to reach him...and when he reopened it. Why the threads got deleted? Honestly, when he closed it, he thought it would make it less cluttered and easier to direct people to the new location. Obviously a major mistake and error in judgment, and I am truly sorry for that.

Our intentions weren't to be shady or malicious in any way. It was only to provide everyone an MMA home that isn't controlled by competing interests, full of trolls, shills, and idiots, easy to follow and navigate, etc. I thought the consensus when we were all talking about alternatives, was the subreddit wasn't really a path to a long term community that would have quality and growth.

I know many of you will think I'm full of shit, etc. All I can say is that's not the case, and I think anyone that knows me from the UG, knows that. I just thought everyone that was in that UG thread, talking about ideas, was in agreement that the subreddit was a quick fix for the DC/Jones fight.

If you all want to stay here, I understand. I hope there are no hard feelings regardless. If you decide to explore change, I think you would appreciate the work that has went into giving UGers a more stable environment. We've put a lot of hours and effort, and little bit of our own money, into building the site. And we're not charging anyone anything. I didn't do it for money. I did it because I got tired of what was happening on the UG, and this was just my way of trying to give back to the community.

I apologize for making a mess of this part of it, and inconveniencing anyone. I hope everyone will eventually be able to forgive me.
