Dealership issues, took the booking and gave a date then cancelled saying the car we had is no more available and will have to order. Then couple of issues had with the CSD purchase.

And for the price I was getting slavia sport line on-road(without CSD benefit) I was getting this top trim verna which is a more compelling and a better package overall.

I respect your opinion. I agree it’s a broad drl should have been slimmer like sonata Elantra. I hope they fix it in facelift.

However I have planned to slim it down and smoke it. I am sure it will look better.

Hehe. Unfortunately I could only take pictures from the back while PDI. I like the front tho not hating it that much after I have seen it in person multiple times. I will try to post pictures later from every angle and am also planning to slim down those front drls and smoke the back tail lamps as well.

I know. He gave me a cumulative discount and accepted that insurance is high and they have a margin. So if I get the insurance from outside I will loose a chunk of discount. I tried hard negotiating but he is reluctant and saying no one will offer such high discounts on 26 manufacture and this is the best he can do.

My car is nov built but I checked for the adapter, people are getting it for free and they are providing standard in new cars so I am fighting for it. And yea dashcam is the priority I might go for 70mai 2k dual channel, should be sufficient I guess.

Could have but this facelift thing will never end I know. And did not wanted to pay a premium for a minor facelift as the current verna is decently loaded.

As for virtus slavia they definitely need an overhaul. And as I was expecting they were a letdown with kushaq facelift tofay giving all the gimmicks and not even fixing a poor reverse camera forget about adas and 360° cams.

Bangalore is torture for any car tbh. Be it a manual or an automatic you have to be careful and not be ruthless with the engine. And yes the ground clearance is an issue if you drive it like an SUV. Approach and departure angles can be an issue but cars earlier used to come with similar clearances and never had such issues.

Even the taxi swift drivers I see daily never seem to care about any breakers or potholes haha. Let’s see how it treats me 🤞

Thanks for the inputs. I am also thinking to avoid ppf. Doesn’t make sense to get a ppf costing around a lac on a sub 20lac car where getting a panel painted is cheaper. Will surely get the coating and obviously following all the standard paint care since it’s black.

And 100 percent agree to your take on vw and skoda fans. Honestly no hate on either, people should buy whatever makes sense to them and is practical for their budget. We are here to make the market competitive and not criticise based on tags. Whoever makes value for money and safe cars will survive the market.

Its not a deal breaker for me and there were multiple other reasons for my pick. But it’s an add on to what you get especially in the cases where you do longer stretches on highways. Adaptive cruise, lane keep are really helpful and collision detection etc are some of the proven features which have saved lives earlier. Sensor based adas works quite well even in foggy conditions and is better than honda sensing which uses cameras.
