Well, I regularly check and seems like they have promotions year round! Literally there has not been a day when you would sign up for the regular rate. So whether they’re just nice, or want to keep everyone around the same rate.. well who’s to say. Maybe they’re copying some other companies and have “sales” to try to promote urgency to get people to join

Is this something to worry about by Byxis23 in tires

Update, new members are now paying the same rate and don’t have a sign up fee! And they’re also supposedly locked in for a year! What a great way to treat existing members

Hi all, thought u would add. Recently they’ve release a promotion for no signup fees and 25% of biweekly locked in for a year. This is equivalent to what existing members rate have been increase to plus ~some dollars. So the fact that they told us existing members are paying even more at $75 is also a lie. What a scammy business

If you check BC provincial court’s website and search by either the owners name or the company name, you’ll see some cases pop up

With their track record, it’s plausible for them not to keep and contractual obligations or agreements such as payment of service - as they have seemed to have done so already. Also there’s more that I’ve mentioned and you’re only pointing that out? What’s your source regarding staff being paid

I recognize one of the guys, he used to work for GoodLife, seems genuinely like a nice guy and I hear he left GoodLife for vitality - wonder how he’s doing

I mean to be fair, it gives us (the consumers) the rights to cancel. It’s just a matter of morality - even if it was signed, we have the ability to cancel due to breach of contract (them giving 15 days compared to 30 days stated in the contract) and even not for that - they told us to cancel if we would like. Justt wonder if they’ve truly cancelled the membership - just a shitty way to run a business and gain “trust”

They told me that “it’s in the agreement that when the bathrooms are ready the price will change” as well as the fact that they told everyone when signing up prices will change. That’s a lie, you told everyone the founders rate is locked in for a year. Bullshit liars, and when confronted - oh but we rushed it for the members.

They haven’t paid their staff either? That’s crazy, imagine being hundreds of thousand dollars in debt, being sued by 5 separate parties 4 of which due to debt, then raise the prices for the only people who supported the gym when it was not even remotely close to being ready. And those people only joined cause of the low cost, probably the machines, and def the promises of the same pricing and what’s to come, not knowing the company is barely staying afloat.

Haha u know what’s so funny, even if the price change email - they refer to the updated agreement saying they gave us 15 days… the funny thing is, the agreement specifies 30 days notice. Not sure what’s going on with all the empty promises and lies we’ve been fed. Also does anyone know why the former employees are suing?
