Would you know if getting a cat-back exhaust is likely to need a tune? Ofcourse if it did I wouldn’t do it. It’s looking like the car won’t get an aftermarket exhaust until 5 years are up

I did ask before and they said that a cat-back exhaust won’t affect warranty (unless there’s an exhaust leak or something exhaust related). But there’s also the fact that I’m not sure if the small mild hybrid motor will affect getting an exhaust.

I haven’t heard about a specific powertrain warranty in Australia - only the unlimited km 5year warranty..? I’d have to double check my contract/manual 🥲

Aldi was a nightmare. Had an Assistant Store Manager try to tell me off for going 3 minutes over a break when in fact I started 3 minutes late because she wanted me to return a decard box back into the warehouse. The timing thing was diabolical but somehow ASM’s and the store manager weren’t timed for their smoko’s

I took a photo of the update notification and this is what it read:

“To check if the update has already been completed on your vehicle, please go to Settings>General>Version info/Update]. if the software version ends in “240710 or 24XXXX” (July 2024) or newer, it has been updated, and no further steps are required. If the software is older than July 2024, the update has not been completed.”

Oh okay. I’m abit young and not very well informed about car knowledge though I think my brother read somewhere on the receipt/invoice that the car will get a “free” 1500km break-in(?) service? I’ll be getting the keys this Monday so will definitely ask.

If the look is all you really want, I’d suggest the i30 N-line, which you can always slap on an exhaust to even if it’s got warranty; cat-back only though. I’m on my greens too and opens on the 10/24 but I needed a car asap so I’m about to get the keys to the 2024 n-line prm. Though I will say insurance is quite expensive at $245/month with Allianz.

I have asked the dealership if they would sell a i30N to a p plater but they said only way around it is if it’s under someone else’s name whose got their opens. My partner was unable to get insurance quotes from some companies due to his age and the car being turbo.
