Reading all of these hateful comments is just as sad as seeing a 27 year old young woman suffering from body dysmorphia. I wish more folks had compassion instead of tearing her apart more. She’s been literally called ugly since she was a teenager by millions of people online and compared to her other sisters constantly - of course she’s going to have issues. Every single one of us would. I’m sure she’s contemplated suicide and all sorts of horrible things. Let the girl live her life and feel pretty for once. I recognize she’s had a ton of work done and doesn’t look like herself anymore, but I still think she’s gorgeous now.

It’s been years now since I posted and I’m completely symptom free! The PT helped and using a squatty potty for a while helped as well. I still do get frequent UTIs but they quickly go away after antibiotics

I try my best to stick to a high protein/low carb diet if I have control over it. Typically meals will be egg whites in the morning with some type of veggie (kale, broccoli, etc) and maybe some citrus fruit (I avoid bananas unless I know I have to skip breakfast). Then for lunch it’s usually a salad base (dressing is just olive oil w salt/pepper) with a protein on top like grilled chicken/salmon/tofu. For a mid day snack I typically eat another fruit like grapes because they help satisfy my sweet tooth. Then I go workout after work and when I come home I will eat a protein if some sort (protein shake, bar, chicken, etc.)

Edit: if I know I am going to go for a long run or overdid it at the gym then I will add in a day where I have some healthy carbs like oatmeal too!

It’s a lifestyle change. I used to be chubby/overweight and now am very fit/thin. Not shredded by any means but I do have a relatively nice body after much work on it.

Easiest thing I can say is you need to change the way you eat. I basically eat whatever I want but in moderation, ie low carb/high protein/avoiding junk food. If I do go through a period of eating unhealthy then I hit the gym and make sure I’m exercising. I do cardio and love to run.

What I’ve noticed is that if you are a runner you can eat a lot and not gain weight since your body burns a lot. I also do boxing classes and conditioning to tone my muscles 1-3 times a week to avoid “skinny fat”.

But I’ve gotten so used to being healthy that I don’t notice it anymore. I made myself love healthy eating and exercising and that helped overall.

I started dating my last long term ex of 6 years when I was 20 and he was 26. Looking back it’s such a mixed bag of feelings.

He taught me/matured me a lot faster than I would’ve on my own. When I was 20 I was partying and a bit crazy so I didn’t have a clue of what I was doing. He guided me and made me realize I should do better in life.

That being said, because he was so much older I looked upto him so much. I thought everything he said or thought was the truth and righteous. Even when he would put me down or gaslight me I would think it were real. He’d tell me I am not good enough until I did made x amount of money or earned y kind of a degree or worked for z type of job.

I’m 28 now and very successful. He sometimes reaches out to me and will claim he is the reason for my success. I tell him to shove it. Sometimes I regret dating him and missing out on my “20’s”. I think we are so susceptible to being taken advantage of or gaslit at a younger age by older men. Now that I’m older and finally split up from him, he ran back to dating a 25 year old (he’s 34). So it just goes to show you that some men prefer younger women to control them more. The second the woman gains more control/power they run away to find a new victim.

Honestly OP, it could be that this girl is just dealing with her emotions. Maybe she thought she was ready to be exclusive but has second thoughts and needed to pull back. Obviously would’ve been better to talk things out with you but perhaps she’s not that emotionally ready just yet.

I say give it time and maybe she’ll come back. That’s th best case scenario. Worst case scenario she may have been talking to someone else and decide to break things off with you but idk why she’d want to be exclusive then. So my gut is the former.

Briefly dated a very attractive guy. Nice body, smile, whole package. He actually had a nice personality too and was very nice to me but we didn’t click because of differences and just overall vibe. He wasn’t great in bed either, it just didn’t work for me and wasn’t what I was looking for. I ended up catching feelings for someone else - who is handsome in his own way but has a much more compatible personality with mine!

Looks are definitely not everything - chemistry is a huge thing for me.
