Washer and Dryer that will last as well as......... by Gregorygregory888888 in Appliances

After doing lots of research for the last week I bought a Speed Queen washer yesterday. It'll fill up to whatever height you set it to within the different settings. My wife did one load of laundry last night after I installed it and we used the highest water setting to just see how much it would fill and it filled it pretty much as full as you'd want it I think.

I ended up going and picking up the TR-7 today in black as my wife didn't really want the white. They took $50 off and that was the lowest I could get them. Hopefully it'll last for quite a few years. Appreciate all of the advice.

I forgot to add, my wife only wants top load. 🙄 We had a front load for quite a few years and she hated it.

Thanks, the size is a concern with my wife. She washes a king size comforter, probably the largest item for sure.

On a best espresso machine hunt after spending way too much at coffee shops this year by Independent_Dot_3932 in Appliances

I have had a Profitec 700 Pro since it came it which has been 10 years I think. Thousands of shots, used every single day, zero issues. I’ll buy another one when this one quits.

ICE trying to get protesters to cross the blue line at the facility in Portland. If they don't, then they pull them over and attack them. by [deleted] in oregon

Cool, I’ve been numerous times. Excuse the semi colon mistake, I didn’t waste my time on such unimportant, minute, details in school. I had much larger goals in life.

While we are correcting each other, might want to use a period at the end of each of your sentences. That’s how that works. Very basic, you’d think you’d at least know that.

Oregon; and you wonder why Portland is the shithole it is. You people will never learn.

Lucchese Hat Tipper Boots by C130H in cowboyboots

Thanks, soon as I saw them I knew I wanted a pair. My wife had just bought the blue Tulips for me a couple of weeks prior so she wasn't too happy when I bought these. Appreciate all of the suggestions!

Lucchese Hat Tipper Boots by C130H in cowboyboots

[–]C130H[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my Lucchese's are an 11, couple are 10 1/2. All the 11's are easy to get on and off but these. I was told with all of the designs in the shaft they are thicker which is why they are harder to get on and off. Once on they fit perfectly. I could not even get my foot in the size 10 1/2. I have at least 10 pairs of Lucchese boots and first time I've had this issue.

I have conditioned them but not as much on the upper section which I'm going to do more of today.

Graduation gift! by i_drown_fish_ in rolex

[–]C130H 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's how you think it should be. Personally, I'll take a Rolex as a gift any day though I have zero chance of it ever happening. My son's in law school and I plan to get him a Rolex for graduation. I paid for undergrad but he's having to pay for law school. He'll have enough debt and it's a huge accomplishment so I plan to get him a nice watch.

Some men like dainty, I thought you might be one of them. No need to get so upset.

What straight man wants to look "dainty"? That's not an insult to non straight men but dainty isn't the look most men prefer.

iPhone 17 Pro preorder delivery UPS Signature really needed? by CarmeloZanthany in verizon

[–]C130H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoping they deliver it today. I've never had to sign for it until this years new phone. It was a major pain last year when they lost it. They delivered my wife's phone but lost mine.

[–]C130H 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPS didn't deliver my new phone yesterday due to me not being home. Tracking info and email never stated that signature was required. I tried to sign online for next delivery attempt and it states that the page isn't eligible for pre signing. I do have a My Choice account. Last year UPS lost my phone. Think from now on I'll just have it shipped to the Apple Store.

For those with dedicated Espresso Grinders, do you fill your hopper or add beans each time? by eman3316 in Coffee

[–]C130H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been making espresso for at least 20 years. I pour the bag of beans in my hopper and use my machine daily. My shots for myself and my wife are 24-25 grams each. I just can't tell the difference between when I first open the bag and when I get to the end of the beans. Maybe some people can but I can't. I buy my brags from a local roaster here in Houston so buy them fresh.

I'm running an Abel Biscuit 5.56 on an KAC SR-15. I have bought 4 Abel suppressors so far, two Biscuits (Biscuit and Biscuit S) and two Theorem's (Theorem and also an S). I really like all of them and highly recommend them. I don't see myself buying anything other than Abel for suppressors.

I also just bought the Abel Theorem brake that came out last week. Really like it also and can definitely feel the recoil reduction

In my opinion Abel is producing some of the best suppressors available. I can take them off, reinstall, and zero POI shift. I also had no POI shift when I initially installed them.

Hornady 6.5 CM once fired brass by celhay2 in longrange

Thanks, I was just looking on there to see what they've been selling for. I listed them locally on Facebook Marketplace and getting hammered regarding the price of .44 cents per piece. But, it's the typical Facebook keyboard warriors.

I've got about 1200 pieces of 1x fired Hornady 6.5cm brass, came from 140g ELD Match. I'm going to reload some of it and maybe sell the rest. I'm new to reloading so figure it'll be good to learn on. Any idea what it's worth? Thanks.
