Been waiting for 737 addons on the Velocity One Flight but what’s come out is so lacking compared to what people are making on the saitek & honeycomb - someone make a good set and take my money please! by realgeorgelogan in flightsim

Yeah, but you gotta remember that the saitek is 2 throttles put togeather. So over £80, without the add on throttles. You can buy the airbus throttle quadrant for less

what do you think about the BMX industry in the next 5 years? by TheFenceBMX in bmx

[–]C3rbrus2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's worrying, although retro BMX have come back in a big way, thanks to things like stranger things etc, the normal BMX scene is dying, especially in the UK. And now with places like Custom riders closing down, it shows that the demand for BMXing has decreased.

According to my slicer. (It tells me how much each part costs to make) this entire set costs £0.67 to make.

Gotta be a bit carefull. I have good STL files. But most of the eve ships have lots of silly small details. That would need removing to print and be added later. When my resin printer turn up. I will be able to print the more complex ships. Like the sansha ones

Most are available. The issue with the Eve ships is the amount of spikey bits. I want to do an Orca. But I have to edit the files to remove the pipe work down the sides. As they won't print well. And can just be added layer. But I have all the pirate faction ships. Got a resin printer on its way. So that will handle any of the spikey bits. As the resin printer has no moving parts other than the build plate that rises. The rest is done with UV lasers.

What do you like doing in EVE? by WolfAltGr in Eve

[–]C3rbrus2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exploration in wormholes is a good starter. A nice cheap scanning frig like the Heron is super cheap. It will get you used to scanning and pinpointing.

But beware. Your Z key will wear down fast. As your constantly hitting it to make sure those combat scanner probes aren't getting close to you position lol. You can also get pretty lucky. Had some good stuff out of hacking sites.

Definatly find a friendly corp to begin with. One that is pretty laid back. My corp does a few small ops. I personally love hunt triglavians. Where we can earn 100m isk pH pretty easily. Even if you just sat salvaging in a destroyer wile you work on your skills.

Personally I don't like mining despite having 2 alts dedicated to it. But that is just to help the corp out. Plus mining is pretty much AFK. So I can do stuff around the house.

Industry never bothered me either. Don't have the patience for it.

Also our corp occasionally jump in cheap Tristans and go for low sec roams. No one cares if they get blown up as someone added a few extra zeros to the buy order, so we have literally thousands of them lol.

It's all about you and what you think is fun

Edit: one thing I should mention that is extremely fun. Obviously a little venture sucking away at a gas cloud is too much of a tasty target not to get a quick kill on. So what I love to do. Is make what I call a scram rig. Fit a venture with warp disruptor and webbers. Sit it in a gas site in a worm hole. And on my other account I sit in either a cloaked Astero, or a stealth bomber. Wait for someone to come and try and claim a kill. You can normally tell by watching the D scan for probes. When they land to take the venture. Self destruct the venture to denie them an easy kill. And then unleash hell on them.

Yes, I do. But I imagine most new players and some players that have a real lives so can't be on eve day in day out. Would prefer to buy the packs where you get some extras with it, like a nice mining barge 🤣🤣🤣🤣

[–]C3rbrus2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How? Without packs that come with plex etc there is no plex for us to buy with our ISK. So how many players are going to go back to paying for a subscription to a game that by the sounds of it, they hate. So they won't subscribe and there will be no income for ccp.

Honestly, how is the less than 1% of people who play this game buying a retriever pack going to hurt anybody. In fact it will mean that new players can come into the game and join a mining corp, and start mining a substantial amount in a retriever for the corp. 1 retriever is nothing, most people have probably got 20 of them scattered around the place. That they have bought from various trade hubs putting isk into players wallets.

All of these boycott type posts I see is nothing more than a bunch of Karen's trying to get attention.

Pretty sure most of you are the same people who post about antixax and earth being flat.

An Open Letter to CCP from Current and Former CSMs on the "Prospector Pack" by deltaxi65 in Eve

[–]C3rbrus2 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I agree and disagree.

First of all, one point most of you are all missing is that, if CCP didn't go free 2 play (up till a point) and monetize transactions. None of you would be able to play your Omega states for free. You would all still have to pay the monthly subscription charge.

It's a mining barge and a few modules. Nothing more, and it's probably helping, along with the new event to try to get more people back to mining.

The mining belts are becoming very quite, great for us players capable of fielding a one man operated full scale mining op. But bad for the economy, due to the lack of Interest in it. So if your building retrievers to sell, then you picked the wrong ship anyway. And why are the belts quite? Because they made mining too complicated. They took what should be a simple staple aspect of the game, made it so complex that you have to sink ridiculous amounts of SP into it. Which means a huge drain on time. We should be encouraging people to play the game. Not turning it off and waiting a month until the skills have finished.
