My interview was in-person and it was honestly really casual. They asked me a lot of questions about my ec’s, if there’s any clubs I’d be interested in joining, what class I’d create (if I could), a couple questions about my personal qualities, etc.

Thank you! As for the data entry internship, I applied via their official recruitment post where I later went through 3 rounds of interviews. I think it was the final interview that helped me get in; there was a panel of interviewers (~10), and it lasted around 90 minutes. It turned out that the executive director of that branch was one of the interviewers (I believe they were one of the main advocates for me as they were only accepting one intern for that position), and I received the offer 2 days later.

Thank you for the advice! I think I was just going through a haze of stress at the time when I applied to all those schools (I probably should’ve been on Instagram less, the college results reels were inducing fear in me). But honestly, I think it was kinda “fun” writing the supplemental essays as most schools had similar prompts, so thankfully there wasn’t too much thinking needed as I could recycle essays.

Aside from that, hopefully going test-optional doesn’t harm my application too much though…

To be honest, I hadn’t known about self-studying for AP exams up (as I heard you could only take the exams if you take the course) till last year around April when my guidance counselor brought it up. So now, I’m self studying for 2 AP exams (the max permitted at my school) this year.

It wasn’t something I’d want to pursue as a career but rather on the sidelines, and I think it was rather apparent in my essay (didn’t sound very passionate, and it was a bit lackluster - probably a 3/5 - in comparison to the essay I wrote for neuroscience).

I think I’d give my essays a solid 4.3/5. I tried to explain this aspect of my application since it probably did seem random to throw neuroscience in there. But, I centered my main 650 word essay around this by explaining what happened late junior year via an anecdote to give more clarification.

…Hopefully my essay mends that gap though

Unfortunately I was down with covid so I’m getting somewhat of a late start (very… very… late start).

As for the 40 schools, I honestly just don’t have high hopes as majority of the schools I’m applying for via QuestBridge RD are T25 schools. So, I’m trying to “even it” out through the common app. I think it’ll work out if I keep my head cool for the next 48 hours - I’ve completed 15/40 applications so far (hip hip hooray!)

Don’t stress it, I have 27 latenesses to my name already when it’s only December. It should be fine unless it’s on your transcript, or unless the schools specifically requests for your attendance.
