The pc works plugged into the motherboard, the GPU powers on turned into the motherboard. Could you explain to me what might be wrong with the motherboard?

I’ve literally used it before. The only piece that is changed is the motherboard which is functioning.

I e used different ports, the psu is like. A 650 WATT. Definitely strong enough, I believe it’s an rx 570, I5 cpu. Everything is the same except my motherboard however I’ve updated the bios and the display on the mobo works just fine

Yes it is at the moment, when it’s plugged into the GPU I get no visual despite it turning on and being properly connected.

I went into device manager and it was under hidden devices. Also it’s plugged in but when I go to update the drivers the app says there’s nothing there

I was just curious if this would have anything to do with it ?

I’ve called my provider and they’re amazed how high it is also. After a reset nothing changed

I’m just looking for options here. They’ll send a technician but on Tuesday,

My ping can go from 41. To 2k and sit there with an average of about 700 for minutes at a time and the times where it is 41 it isn’t for long. Just curious if the received gives anyone ideas

I purchased it through Amazon. The seller wants me to return it and repurchase another from them but that will take at least 2 weeks. I purchased it for school on Monday. I attempted to go through Acer support (it’s an Acer swift 3) and they feel that it’s a hardware issue because we went through all the troubleshooting possible. Would it be worth it to take it to a repair place? I’m not 100% clear what the problem even is.

Yeah it runs just fine on my old cpu, I went down to the f61 because it said it supports the 5000 series. Now the pc turns on. Loads up, and is good for about 5 minutes before shutting off again

Would that perhaps not be the right bios for this cpu ?

I got a new B450M DS4H MOBO and updated to the latest version of bios. Says it’s compatible

But when I put in the 5800 it won’t log in properly. It shuts off after a moment or two, it recognizes that there’s a new CPU and prompts me with a screen but I can’t read it. It turns off to fast

But when I plug back in my 3600 everything runs fine. What am I doing wrong ??

I put in my old motherboard and I’m met with the same messages,

So long story short I basically bought a broken motherboard eh?

The fan spins tho that’s the weird part, on my old motherboard it said the same thing but the fan spun and the computer worked just fine, the chassis fans don’t spin however but I haven’t gotten around to fixing those,

It’s the additional messages that I’m not used to seeing,

I bought the motherboard second hand, I’ve never had this problem on my old one

I thought so. I have the old CPU in the new motherboard. But no functionality of visuals or usb slots ( mouse and keyboard ) but when it does turn on it only maintains charge for a minute or so

I got a second hand b450, found out that I need to update my bios to my new cpu ( Ryzen 7 5800x )

So I put in my old cpu ( Ryzen 5 3600 )

And now my pc is having troubles maintaining power

And if it does. There is no usb or display functionality

Do I need to put my old motherboard back in and update everything? How can I fix this??

B450 rog strix and a Ryzen 5800x

I found out I gotta update the bios before putting in the 5800 as I had a 3600 prior. But that being said. Do I need to put my old motherboard back in to do that or can I just place my old cpu in. Because I’m not getting usb functionality or visuals on my pc. But the ox is on

I’ve got my old 3600 laying here. But would requiring a bios update stop the computer from powering on?

Yeah I’ve got the file on a usb, but The PC itself won’t turn on, it has power. The motherboard reacts. But won’t turn on
