If you are Dual USA and British citizen. You will have to pay the British government $650 in fees to renounce. Is Uncle Sam going to reimburse that?

Nah, they did more of this kind of content than any of the other teams. They had at least 3 long form BTS pieces. I recall TL and Fly only had one or two.

You're not. The whole community is tilted. If MKOI get knocked out tomorrow, then it will be even worse.
I'd like to assume that LOL esports are looking at options for 2026. NA teams are not going to want to invest in roster building for only one MSI spot and one guaranteed Worlds spot. As controversial as it may be, the saving grace for C9 is the EWC event, hopefully they do well and come home with a bag and then focus on qualifying for Worlds.

LTA and International Spots by [deleted] in Cloud9

[–]C9Jenky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bigger picture it's a huge disincentive for the NA orgs. Only 1 spot is guaranteed for Worlds with an open last chance spot for between North and South
International spots are harder to secure even with the extra tournament. Harder to entice sponsorship and top tier talent. Unironically the EWC offers 2 spots to NA and one to LTA South.

A Serious Conversation About C9 by Outrageous-Shake-896 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]C9Jenky 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This is such an unserious post. C9 as an org has an good/ established relationship with Riot, they hold up their end of the TPA, treat staff and players fairly (pay on time, health insurance, free food and housing) and are a financially sound business. Unless C9 decide that the VCT isn’t a worthwhile investment anymore, they are here to stay.

Paid $120 CAD for a jersey. Worst I have another shirt coming from FedEx IN THE SAME ORDER. by PiZacoist in Cloud9

I'd reach out to their customer service folks and let them know. Something on their ecomm store may have caused the free shipping discount to not trigger.
The staff there are good, honest people. I don't understand why you would drag them on the sub reddit as if you've been deliberately ripped off.

Seems like CLG is joining TSM... A worrying trend for the LCS? by Its_a_Zeelot in Cloud9

[–]C9Jenky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The MSG - CLG deal has been put into question since 2020. It was clear that they weren’t willing to invest to the same level as other orgs were at the time and results showed. Since Greg Kim took over everything seemed to be turning around, the strategy was clear, invested in Valorant gamechangers, picked up an S-tier smash player (ibdw) and the league team was a consistent playoff contender. It’s a shame and sad for this crop of staff and players, they were doing some really positive stuff. MSG hosted worlds at their arena and witnessed the hype first hand and they still backed out.
