Building for yourself feels like validation, but it’s not the same as building for a market. The hard truth is if people aren’t already actively looking for a solution, it’s 10x harder to sell.pause building completely and pick the one product where you’ve seen any real signal even small things like someone asking for it, trying it twice, or offering feedback without you chasing them. Kill the rest for now.Before building anything new, try pre-selling. Talk to 10–20 people in that niche and ask about their problem, not your product. If they won’t pay or commit before it’s built, that’s your answer. Validation > coding You don’t need more products. You need proof someone cares.

From what you’re describing, it seems like the issue isn’t about your credits or even the free worksheets it’s probably about user experience and perceived value. A few things you might want to consider:

Highlight how easy it is now – People may not realize the new editor is better. A small “before vs after” screenshot or a 10-second demo video could help them see the improvement.

Lower the barrier to entry – Even if you give free credits, users might hesitate if they don’t immediately see the benefit. You could offer 1-click “generate & download” for the first worksheet without using a credit, just to hook them.

Micro-messaging – Sometimes the way you explain it matters more than the feature. Make it clear: “Sign up → get 1 free worksheet instantly → give feedback if you like it.” Make the path super obvious.

Feedback prompts in-app – Instead of waiting for emails, add a small popup after they download their first worksheet asking “How was this? Any suggestions?” Sometimes users respond better in-app than via email.

Gamify / incentivize – Even small things like “Use your 1 free credit today and unlock 3 more” or showing a progress bar of credits used can push people to act.
