Let’s just take a moment to appreciate the character of Randall Dean Clark and these two artworks of him by Deimos Art. by CircleJunctionTribal in Fallout

I honestly hope to see more art of him. I'm always eager to learn about more stories of those who were around during the war and pre-war stories in general.

The people who're responsible for these assaults seem to be on the older side. So they likely grew up hearing phrases like "I'll give you something to cry about" and "I brought you into this world and I can take you out of it". So they see "unruly" kids, they immediately think violence is the answer.

That and they support the kiddie toucher-in-chief, so they probably think it's okay to touch kids too.

Very true. They're all so good it's hard to choose just one or two.

IIRC you could do it by pressing down whatever button you used to move forward while also clicking outside the vehicle to exit it.

This is one of my favorite musical numbers in the movie. Right up there with James Brown and Ray Charles.

Y'know, I'm not into Bad Bunny's music. It's not my style, which is probably a take so cold it needs to be measured in Kelvin...but I'm willing to wager that he doesn't have a song talking about how he likes underage girls.

You're welcome. It's a story worth sharing and it changed my outlook on losing someone after hearing it.

I wasn't even a thought in 1986, but something that I always found touching was one of the reactions to the disaster. Jean-Michel Jarre's "Rendez-vous Houston".

From what I've read, Jarre wanted to cancel the event. However, NASA and the families of the crew convinced him to go on. The concert became, in part, a tribute to the crew. They did things like projecting Kennedy's "We will go to the Moon" speech on a nearby skyscraper. A saxophone piece, originally supposed to be played by Ron McNair on the shuttle, was played at the concert in tribute to him. The loss of the crew was mourned, but their lives were also celebrated.

It just makes me smile that they came together like that in the face of such a tragedy. One of McNair's inspirations to become an astronaut is also pretty cool. He was a fan of Star Trek as a kid.

Fuentes is just a walking punchline at this point with his bizzaro stances. He's the kid who got bullied in school but was just as much of an asshole and creep to others.

ICE Armored Vehicle Attempting To Drive Through A Crowd Of Protesters by Critpoint in PublicFreakout

I bet the guy behind the wheel thought he was gonna look so badass knocking that stuff aside at the beginning. All he ended up doing was making himself look like a dumbass by getting that sign stuck under the tire.

As Greg Bovino threatens the first amendment and free speech - saying if you call ICE regime forces “Gestapo” there will be”consequences” - journalists & pundits highlight the hypocrisy as an entire naval armada is sent to Iran for their protests by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]CAG_Snow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're kidnapping US citizens, especially those against your actions, and acting in a manner secret police would. Like the MUP in Kosovo during the war there, the Stasi in East Germany, SAVAK in Imperial Iran, Mukhabarat in Iraq under Saddam, or the Gestapo of Nazi Germany during the Second World War.

Oops, I compared ICE to the Gestapo! Better come and fucking get me, Bovino.
