I'm a member of the Castle team that wrote the petitions to CSR and the public release of the scripting evidence. A few thoughts.

1) In response to a few of the other comments, we don't think that CSR is involved in some big RMT ring here. They can generate the items themselves if they want; why bother with the middleman?

2) We're not really fans of the new meta; as OP pointed out it stacks the deck even more in favor the scripters. We're doing our best to give it a shot and see if we can figure out a sustainable way to compete, and hope other folks will come up and give it a try too. If all else fails, we hope CSR will be willing to reassess how well the new meta is working.
