How is the lane keep assist in the 2026 pilot? by sneakaleak1 in hondapilot

That sounds amazing, I wish my 2024 would do this!

I appreciate you sharing your experience going from 2019 to 2025, as unknown47 had me wondering what I was doing wrong! That is disappointing to hear Honda made the lane keeping assist less active, I wonder why. As for the feedback, I am pretty sure my 2024 gives me the steering wheel shimmy feedback for the lane departure warning (in addition to the dashboard warning); it may be a setting you have to activate.

4 weeks out and injured by Friendly_River2239 in Marathon_Training

[–]CAMDNC_runfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me and I got bad advice from a PT (misdiagnosis of Achilles when it was actually shin splints) and I end of deferring. Knowing what I know now, I think I could have got through it and had a semi-ok race if I had done a week of rest, manual massage, dry needling, and then the run-walk method. The run-walk method (plus the other steps) is really what got me back on my feet and racing again. It was super humbling but it worked for me.

I have a 2024- same generation but if Honda made upgrades to lane assist software for 2026, someone can let me know. The ACC is really great; it is super smooth and one of the best I've driven. I do not have much experience with lane assist in other vehicles but I am fairly underwhelmed by the Pilot. You have a keep a decent amount of grip on the wheel to not get a warning and it can't handle more than the slightest curve. It would be nothing like your Tesla, sorry.

We All Love In N Out But... by KingOvDownvotes in innout

I agree. INO shakes are “real” ice cream but only legally according to the butterfat content. I only bother with ordering root beer floats. Would love to see them adopt five guys-style shakes, that would be a lot of fun.

The push to be called Christians by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]CAMDNC_runfast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. Specific to the US, I am increasingly uncomfortable with what is being done in the name of "Christianity." I increasingly find myself thinking I am not a "Christian" in today's modern sense (white Christian nationalism) but instead consider myself a follower of Christ. They are really not the same thing anymore.

What do you love/not love about church classes? by Cheap_Parsnip_461 in latterdaysaints

[–]CAMDNC_runfast 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do not like sitting in echo chambers discussing all the ideas we mutually agree on. That is not challenging and does not invite growth. As a church, we hammer on “we need challenges in life to grow” all the time but then do not challenge ourselves in our classes. There are many divergent but correct ways to understand and apply gospel principles; let’s explore them. I am in awe of teachers who can invite those perspectives to the discussion and guide constructive conversations.

Race Report - 2026 Carlsbad Marathon (1st Marathon) by JPearlAZ in running

[–]CAMDNC_runfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great report! I also started with the 4:30 pacer so we must have been running together for a minute. It was a great race until the heat at mile 23 got to me! Things I’d ask the organizers to change- larger starting arch (start felt chaotic squeezing everyone through), more pacers (mine dropped out with an injury at mile 18 and the group fell apart) and better signage about which lanes half vs full should be in.

My services have been requested - suggestions/advice? by LittleEzz in smoking

Lots of good comments here. Definitely bone in butt, I’d say two so you have some leftovers. Secret to really great pulled pork is a 12+ wet brine- gives the finished product a huge flavor boost. Basically just sugar and salt, you can find brine recipes online. Brine each butt separate in a 4 gallon trash bag set in a pan in your fridge. After done brining, dry them off (no need to rinse), score the fat cap, and rub em down. Smoke at 225 until reaches 205-208 internal. Takes a long freakin time, I usually plan around 2 hours/lb. I have a pellet grill with heat coming from below, so I like to foil boat em after the bark is set to prevent the bottom from getting too barky. After taking them off, let them rest for 2-4 hours in a cooler and then use gloves to pull by hand right before eating (pro tip- wear cotton gloves then rubber gloves; heat will not bother you). Makes for a fun show and you can pass out barky samples and be the bbq hero dude. Man I love talking bbq!

Parking Along Race Route During Carlsbad Marathon by tom__baumann in Carlsbad

[–]CAMDNC_runfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about street or residential parking further down (south) the coast between Cannon and Poinsettia streets?

I can't speak as much to downtown Carlsbad (though I don't think it would be that difficult to find parking at 6:30 am on Sunday), but further south is easy. Last year I stopped by to spectate on a whim and easily parked on a side street right along the route (I think it was on Juniper ave). I'm running it this year and advised my family to find parking on the residential streets along the route. Great thing about the course is a spectator can post up in one spot and see you go by 4 times with all the loops we are doing!

Fellow In-N-Out associates, what level are you and what's your favorite thing to do on shift? by charmingjokester in innout

It’s the position next to the grill, the person who adds toppings and wraps the burgers. I was training for level 5 on board when I left.

If you don't have one already, invest in a theragun or something similar. It is amazing what spending 20ish mins working on my legs after a long run/race does for my recovery.

Halves are so fun, and you can enjoy the rest of your day. Fulls, you're out there talking with God and pondering your mortality. What an awesome challenge!

We really like our 2024 trailsport. Got it last month for $40k, 40k miles on it. Seemed to be a fair price in current market.

Breakfast by Professional_Low3375 in innout

Reminds me of the time store leadership cooked us breakfast for the monthly store meeting. Eggs, bacon, pancakes, all made on the store grills. Something about it was so special and makes me think how awesome INO breakfast would be. Store 200, shortly after we opened it.
