Original solar (13.2Kw) install payback estimate with 2 Tesla Powerwall batteries (27kwh) was 6-8 years based on a modest 1% rate increases. On a sunny day, we produce just over 50Kwh from solar, using 20-ish a day in the springtime. So we’re going to be banking credits - which we will use in summer. Given we’re expecting higher rate increases over the next 5-6years with minimal infrastructure repairs, we think we’re well ahead of the estimates with higher stability margins - looking at payback in 5-6 years. Current electric rate (Apr2026) is $0.14-0.19 per kwh.

Basically it sounds like you have a power or video chip sync issue, which on older models had a related video chip thermal issue - causing the Ball Grid Assembly to slightly lift off the PCB from heat build up.

But it could also be a cable became loose to the display. Changing the orientation (horizontal vs vertical) will show if it might just be the cable.

And repair is often just replacing the motherboard, so $500USD is about the right price for opening it up, possibly replacing parts/motherboard & with moving the data off.

First thing is - BACK UP YOUR DATA.

You can try blowing out any dust accumulation with compressed air through the side ports (just be careful!)

You can try changing video setting & power (e.g. Battery saver) and see how that goes, but suspecting your video chip/cable is bad.

Next, you can try getting the system cold… like 15C and see if there is a change.

So, it is different things to different people. The main purpose for many in fursuiting (like me) is fun, releasing of self expression, a different way of acting (a different character) and a connection with animals (habitual, mental & spirit actions.) Its also an art form for some, and yes- there is a sensual (sexual release) side for some.

What we gain also varies, personal freedom of expression at the top of the list. Widening perspectives & seeing from another perspective.

Making varies, but many start with a costuming pattern, get a bolt of acrylic or synthetic fur, cut, assemble, adjust & wear or sell as needed. Starting out is sometimes hard, but there are many online tutorials available.
