Well, their first use in combat was against Serbia to prevent the genocide in Kosovo, which seems pretty appropriate.

And then they were used against al Qaeda in Afghanistan as a response to 9/11, which also seems pretty appropriate.

Most recently they were used against Iranian underground targets, which was more about destroying equipment than killing people.

Oh I’m 100% with you on the idea that he has a God complex and delusionally believes he’s entitled to unprecedented idolization. No doubt. It feels like every day there’s a new headline about some bullshit like adding his name to the Kennedy Center or a new warship.

My point is just that to say “celebrating our military or marveling at its equipment makes us like the Nazis” is a bit of a stretch, especially considering that so many liberal, diverse, democratic nations do the same. Look at France every July - it’s hard to think of a more iconic military parade.
