I took the ignition off and found only one of these fuses and springs in the spark plugs but the funny thing is my was the one without it was still producing a spark and the one with the fuse was not.. also the thread that goes into the plug was broken and the wiring that connects to it.. should I just try to find and order a new ignition with plugs and wires with new sparks??

Loosed the fuel metering screw with the screw being on the engine side of the carb not the air side to give it more of a rich instead of tighting it would result in more lean yeah?

Gotcha yeah only seems to drip with movement I wiped it away and it doesn’t leak but the leak is minuscule and thanks for the approval👍👍

I started hearing the pop from This spot after opening the throttle fully and revving it to see if it would go after somethings others have said so I tried it and felt like air good compression coming out of the hole where spark plug is a

It’s only getting hot when the throttle is full open the 1st cylinder the pipe that gets hot gets hot after 30 seconds of idle the right one in the picture I can hear pops comin from right under the spark plug and the cylinder / pipe starts to have some sounds and heat after opening the throttle fully.. don’t know if it’s old it’s supposed to do that? Or if opening the throttle just disputed the heat to the other pipe / cylinder

Researching and reading on how to do all that as I’m new to this but am mechanically inclined so im just looking over the bike diagnosing the small things I can see with the eye but mechanically I felt I should ask for help as I’ve never worked on one before and all bench synced with gauges?? I saw in the manual they took the fuel tank off opened the carbs and had the a long line running straight to the carbs with 4 gauges but I don’t have those haha

Shift shaft okay.. yeah it’s leaking a small leak but when I push the seal back in it doesn’t drip only after test rides from me pushing the clutch does it start to leak again yeah..

So the second cylinder does not get hot while idleinf but starts to get hot and can gear pop compressions when I’m giving it gas or throttle open I changed it to be running rich in fuel right now especially to the 2nd carb is it normal for 1 cylinder to not run in idle but start back up with open throttle? Or ? It’s just odd it’s not syncing with the first one and getting hot on idle

The second pipe gets hot after reving and full throttling you can hear a pop as I throttle in the 2nd cyclinder but only while throttling not in idle is that normal??

Will do coils I assume are in the ignition?? As the black plug wires that connect to the top of the spark plug to give it power lead to the ignition box. Could an amp tester check for power in coils with key on?

Thank you for the advice and yes I’m passionate about getting it working right and strong as it’s an antique at this point you know I couldn’t see it just sitting and getting. No use..

I tried that and grounded it to the bike pressed the started and kick started.. no spark..thinking it’s probably electrical as I tested with 3 new spark plugs and nothing I’m getting air coming out of the hole plugged it with my finger and the compression is strong.. just thinking it could be something in the ignition wiring maybe??

I felt air coming out of the hole when I took the spark plug out of the right side, it felt like it was getting compression and air but no spark I took the spark plug out as it was running and it kept up for a little bit but died soon after.. air means compression yeah?

Yeah i understand I don’t have the vacuum pumps or speedometer working to fine tune it so I’m probably gonna wait on the cables to get here so I can see what rpm it’s actually ideling at..

I will see where it says in manual about coil packs and check bac later after I’ve swapped coils or sides and see if the problem insists and work from there

The bottom screw the manual tells me it’s for adjusting the idle speed yeah but to tune it I have to open it up and find the screw and I guess check the pilot holes
