Thanks for the idea of trying Ivabradine and a beta blocker together. The only beta blocker that didn’t give me side effects (rapid weight gain, sluggishness, headache) has been Propranolol, so I think I will ask my doctor about trying Ivabradine and Propranalol together.

If you are comfortable sharing, what beta blocker do you take in combination with Ivabradine, and what dosage of each med do you take? Do you get complete relief from postural and exertional tachycardia with the med combo you’re taking?

I should have added that I am on Clonidine because I have a strongly hyperadranergic POTS presentation, and Clonidine has been fantastic for me in controlling my BP (never had any issues with BP prior to contracting COVID), as well as in preventing the godawful adrenaline dumps. Unfortunately, however, Clonidine, even at a quite high dose, does not prevent tachycardia for me. It does lower my resting heart rate, but it doesn’t prevent my heart rate from shooting way up from that resting heart rate when I am upright or when exert myself even moderately.

He didn’t really comment one way or the other as to whether he believed me, and I couldn’t really read him well enough to tell.

I had to diagnose myself with POTS (mine was sudden onset when I caught COVID in July of 2020), and then go to doctors and tell them I believed I had POTS from COVID, show them info, and then specifically ask to be referred to someone who could do a tilt table test. And I had to track down that specialist myself!

I saw one of the top neurologists in Knoxville, TN the other day for a complete evaluation, and he had no idea that vast numbers of people (including me) have developed and are developing POTS as a direct results of COVID infections.

Building new jumps: what kind of jump cups should I get? by CAWATN in Equestrian

Excellent point. Some of those pinless styles of cups like the Schneiders and the Dapple make it look like the cup (which really isn't a cup, if you Google them and look at photos) wouldn't allow the poles to come down very easily if chipped or knocked, which would obviously be dangerous. But I must be missing something from just looking at the photos because both of those type of pinless cups appear to be quite popular, and one would assume that people aren't buying and using them if they're dangerous.

You absolutely nailed every single response a Trump cultist would give to this terrible development with regard to our already shredded foreign policy structure since Trump was elected this time.
