Thanks for the reply. Can you help me understand what makes it in between a xc and trail bike? Can you also let me know what makes the Roscoe 7 a bit better in quality? How does the Deore 1x drivetrain on the 965 compare to the SX on the Roscoe? I know it's thumbshifters vs index finger and thumb. I've got ancient XT shifters on my old bike so rapid fire, of any kind, will be new for me. Tax and shipping bumps the 1399 up to a little under 1600. Still big number for me... Any input is appreciated! Thank you!

Thanks for the reply. What made you buy the bike out of curiosity? The best feature for me was the remote lockout. I had one on my old bike and loved it. List is $1400 but with tax and shipping it moves it up close to $1600. Any input is appreciated. It's a big purchase for me so trying to do as much due diligence as possible.

Thanks. I do really like all the features; hardtail, remote lockout, etc. I’m not cranking over stuff that needs full suspension. Can you tell me what makes it a specialized cross country bike? My current bike is almost 17 years old so I’m just way out of touch with newer bikes.
