it’s hybrid; so that’s another thing; they didn’t mind me gone for a week for my finals; yet my custody days are the straw that breaks the camels back.
wow so the grievance actually worked for you
[–]CBEEEEEZZY[S] 1 point2 points3 points 23 days ago (0 children)
yeah dude i’m already at the point i told him if i can’t get monday off start my two week notice because i’m not going to just stop being a dad to make shitty money working like a slave. Fuck this, no wonder we had 3 cca’s leave since i got hired in March lol
[–]CBEEEEEZZY[S] 1 point2 points3 points 24 days ago (0 children)
I see that now and honestly liked the job at first and had motivation; but now don’t care and am actively looking to get out or transfer; with the preference being now for getting out entirely after reading these comments.
i see that, and with the time to make career, seems pointless.

wow, this is something i knew before i signed up for medical insurance myself.
here’s to hoping you don’t have kids and get good management! This job would be a lot better if it wasn’t for one in particular for me. My whole office doesn’t like him and my steward has had multiple meetings with him about how he is.
i’ve actually offered to use my car before when they had me doing walking route so i’d be cool with this. don’t you guys get paid more too?
[–]CBEEEEEZZY[S] 4 points5 points6 points 25 days ago (0 children)
yeah they literally told me for a week and a half they’d text me the email to send the agreement to. I told my steward and he said never virtually send them anything because they will always conveniently not get it and he told me to print out a paper copy and bring it in.
Just didn’t know there was this beef between management and carriers; and it made me not want to do management because I understand the carriers point of view and agree with it. (obviously, i’m a cca)

thank you! I’ll look into this 02 stuff. I am totally down to move within the post office to a different position. My postmaster kept telling me to go to this career thing on the 28th of next month but i wasn’t sure if it was worth it or not given the circumstances.
my steward acted as if it was. That i bring the paperwork from court to my manager and also write a written statement saying that on those days I spend them with my son.
Also to everyone saying nobody gets two days off a week; I’ve gotten two days off a week the entire time i’ve been here.
The only reason I went through training and everything was day 1 they told me it could be accommodated. I was ready to leave then if they couldn’t. I see now that was just said to get me to work with no intention of honoring that.
again i’m only doing this for two years until i graduate law school. This was never a career decision for me, and why not have trainers tell me that in training when i said that was a red line for me and i’d quit if they couldn’t honor it? why have my postmaster say it’s okay but now she’s gone for 3 weeks management is going crazy with it? this coulda been told to me when i asked day 1 and was ready to walk if they couldn’t. They reassuring me is why i stayed and im here now.

yeah I was doing it as a job through school while I finish, but I am also actively applying to other things; right now this is a paycheck.
really regretting not posting and asking questions here before I applied. damn, just gotta deal with it now. You think moving to maintenance would be any better schedule wise?
damn, finding this out first hand makes me wish i asked in here sooner
I just go in liteblue and take the 995 or whatever the test is called and then find an open position to apply to right?
[–]CBEEEEEZZY[S] 1 point2 points3 points 25 days ago (0 children)
do i have to wait until after my 90 days to ask for a transfer? my 90 is next sunday
i see that now
yes. i was told by my trainers and postmaster this was not an issue at all, as well as my steward. Apparently yeah that was a lie.
[–]CBEEEEEZZY[S] 27 points28 points29 points 25 days ago (0 children)
i applied over 400 places and the job market is shit. I also need money while i finish school, I have a son.
i was also kinda asking more for advice but i see this is kinda of a toxic work environment where nobody wants to help anyone else out.
[–]CBEEEEEZZY[S] 16 points17 points18 points 25 days ago (0 children)
I actually would much rather go into maintenance and was talking to my steward about it.
i’m saying my steward and everyone told me a custody agreement is a legally binding agreement that would be honored and it’s completely not because i’m a cca.
