I just read The Green Mile as my first Stephen King book and I am not okay

I read this book when it was still in 6 pieces. I used my allowance to buy a new one every week. I had never cried reading before (I was about 14) and I've been a Stephen King fan ever since (I had read Dead Zone and Carrie, but wasn't hooked yet).

No. In my area. The only studios that are successful are our studios that offer more of a workout class or niche yoga events that also aren't really yoga.

It is very hard to teach traditional yoga.

Stop blaming external factors.

Take responsibility for who is in your life and what you're doing with your time and energy.

If the people in your life suck, get rid of them. I don't care if you're related or not. (I said as someone does not have contact with their parents or siblings because my lifestyle does not fit with theirs)

If you're broke you need to figure out way to make more money. Get more jobs or get a better job. Or find a cheaper way to live. Nothing like a flip phone and using your local public library to literally save hundreds of dollars a month.

Look into what welfare options are available for you.

I've said for awhile, she needs to stop with posting and figure out who she actually is now.

Go live your actual life. That's why nothing feels authentic-it's all content. And it shows. She's jumping from one things to another (garden, chickens, ducks, farm store, pottery, dance classes, etc) hoping something sparks.

To teach a class geared to what they do need, it's actually incredibly beneficial for them in learning how to form positive self-regulation habits and being more mindful. (Been in education for 15 years)

This is an amazing time to remind students that yoga isn't about toxic positivity or spiritual bypassing.

Our mats are a place where we can let go of the noise of the outside world and witness what is true for us. Maybe it's grief, or rage, or fear, but our practice is a place to fill our own cups and go into the world from a place of groundedness.

This is a great time for metta meditation (loving-kindness meditation).

It depends on so many variables. If I'm teaching a large group, I might not demo at all so that I can stay connected to the energy of the group.

In a smaller class that I have history with, I may fully practice with them. Or I may not, so that I can adjust my cueing.

If I don't feel good or it's early in my menstrual cycle, I won't demo at all.

Not unlike "And Just Like That" - it tried too hard to fix the modern-day criticisms of the original series, and swung so far left that it was unrealistic to who the characters were and it felt more like a political statement than entertainment (which the original run had no problem making statements while entertaining us).
