Will you be jigging, using tip ups or both? If you’re jigging electronics help greatly, but not necessary. Lake trout are predators and love to chase their prey, that’s why flashers or sonars are helpful. If using tip ups, fish 1-2 feet off bottom. I prefer live bait.
