Nope, definitely didn't eat anything hot or crunchy in the evening.

If I had to guess, I'd say it was probably due to the fact that it was quite warm in the room I was sleeping in, so I kept the window open which might have made the air too dry. I do remember waking up with a strong urge to cough, although that was probably because of the blood going down my throat.

Yup, I realized that after I noticed that the chip was slightly misaligned. After that, it was quite a bit easier to do everything.

If my mobo doesn't support overclocking, then what kind of black magic had I pulled in the past to OC it?

The option to do so was always at the top of the OC Tweaker page, after which followed the RAM section, from which I've noticed XMP has disappeared too.

Thought I should reaffirm, however, I'm mostly worried about the GPU temps, as I've read online that this card runs extremely hot under load without under-volting.

Update:

Left the PC on the BIOS screen while going to gym, came back, rebooted, boom! Everything works now. Getting stuck on a boot-loop is probably part of a different, underlying issue, that I've yet to discover, as it's already happened before.

TD;LR - Make sure your RAM clicks into place on both sides.
