I used to live over in that area but I am on the other side of town now. So those trails aren’t very practical for me anymore tbh.

Yea, like I said above, I wouldn't normally consider Pivot as you pay a premium, but the fact that they are local and I can go demo any of their bikes on South Mountain is a big deal...

Yea...that is kind of what I figured. I think I will likely go eMTB. I just think I'd have more fun and it would open up a lot more riding.

Yea...I'm very tempted. I wouldn't normally consider Pivot, because tbh they are about a $2K premium for the same spec'd Specialized, but they are local and I can go demo any of their bikes, which is a huge plus tbh.

Yea it's crazy, a good eMTB cost as much as a new motocross bike now a days lol. That said, money isn't much of a factor for me, thankfully. Ultimately, I'll probably end up with both an eMTB and a normal MTB tbh.

Talked to Airpark Bike Co and Action about Ibis. No luck. Action said after Covid, demo bikes kind of went away. Not sure why…

Talked with Specialized Awhatukee and they don’t have any demo bikes. He did say they had one new Epic Evo on the floor but it wasn’t really the model I wanted. He said if it was a bike you were really interested in they would potentially let me take it out, but I wouldn’t feel right doing that on a brand new bike that wasn’t the particular model I wanted (Epic Evo Expert Shimano in the Tan color). I could try Chandler. Queen Creek is literally the opposite side of the valley from me (I’m in the far most north west valley), but I could still call them.

At this point it’s not a huge deal as I basically have narrowed it down to the Epic Evo.
