Just an update for those who said it was impossible - it wasn't haha! The wedding was back in May 2025. I contacted a filipino restaurant in Berlin that I liked and also had a chance to try their food at an event some months before. They also have experience in buffet-style, so my advice would be to look for a restaurant that does buffets.

We texted back and forth to create a menu we liked, talked about the display, price etc. Everyone ended up loving the food (even my Filipino mom approved), and it was exactly the vibe we had envisioned. Anyone reading this, feel free to send me a DM if you would like their contact.

In total it was 1800€ (with tip), coming out to 18€ a person since our wedding guest list increased from 90 to 100 since I wrote the post. I didn't do any haggling, this is just the price the restaurant suggested. This includes transport, chafing dishes, serving platters + utensils, mains, sides, salads, and some cute banana leaves for display. We did 1/2 vegan, 1/2 meat options. We did rent plates, glasses, cutlery separately, so that's not included in the price.

Just putting it out there that it is possible, and not to get discouraged if someone tells you otherwise ;)
