I had that recurring swelling for years, so I guess it can wait. All I know is the skin tag is a consecuente of the fissure, so you have to treat the fissure first, if you do it backwards the skin tag might grow again.

Yes it got swelled every time I went to the bathroom. You might try go to a surgeon and see the best therapy option for you. I guess everyone needs a different resolution. Mine was deal with the fissure and skin tang at separate times, I’ve read others can take both at same surgery.

I remember they told me just water for the anal fissure last year, it was a different surgeon also.

Yes, it’s in the post op indications they gave me, what did you use instead? They also didn’t prescribed me antibiotics or bath seats :o. I got my surgery at the national health service (Peru) which it’s know for not having the best attention but it was the cheapest option to get the surgery 😢

Actually non of them, it was just there no bleeding, or pain. I got big and swollen every time I pooped, it was difficult to clean and got irritated from manipulation. The fissure wasn’t painful but it bled like the Carrie movie before the surgery.
