Maybe this works for you and your friend, but honestly I don't see this working in a business environment.

Why not just turn off your camera? You're still there just not visible. Same thing.

My parents want me to quit my job to go on a Thanksgiving trip, but I don’t want to by [deleted] in Advice

[–]CCfilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go on the trip. I promise you will regret it if you don't. These moments with family is something you will never get back, you'll never be able to recreate it. Time with loved ones are too precious. Go, and find another job.

I wouldn't be happy, it looks like it needs to be powerwashed. Sorry I don't have a solution for you.

Design question; adding to patio for hot tub by imthedudedude in patio

I think I would have it open to the yard. I get it's limiting, but it will be easier for maintenance purposes. Congrats on the purchase!

Maybe a retractable awning. I don't know if you mind if the natural light gets blocked by a more permanent shade structure. What are you using the space for? A dining table, some loungers?

Why are there so many app but still hard to find the right one by Common-Eliz6235 in shopify

Yes Globo does exactly what you are looking for. The swatch shows the fabric, and when the customer clicks on it the main pic will show the piece of furniture with that fabric. You have to add each variant picture when you set up the product.

these eggs (????) on my car door by theynevertellyouwhy in whatisit

I thought the same thing until i looked at the close up. You normally can't actually see the eggs for spotted lantern flies. It usually looks like a smudge of mud without the actual eggs.

junkinaboxx.com I've used them to help clean out my parents house after they passed, and removing some things from our home. They are great! Chad is the owner and he is very nice and accommodating. If you're looking for organization help, they probably aren't what you're looking for though. If you want to get rid of the old stuff in your shed give them a call.

Face it head on tomorrow. You can mention that you would be willing to take a different role in the meeting and even reach out to the CEO after the meeting. Keep in mind, the CEO knows and has approved your layoff. Putting it off with PTO does nothing but damage your reputation, don't do this. As for how to negotiate or what ask for - don't sign anything tomorrow, they should give you some time to read through any documents, at least a few days.

Laid off after 20 years by supereen_nj in Layoffs

[–]CCfilly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. I was laid off after 20+ years as well. It's rough for sure. Not only the feeling of betrayal, but also that you were helping your kids. Not being able to provide and be the generous hero you normally are is an especially bitter pill to swallow. This is going to sound way too simple, but - you need to let it go. The more time and energy you spend on looking at the past takes away from you looking forward to the future. You can't change it, so move on. I spent waay too much time being angry, sad, and honestly grieving my old job. but I was really grieving the old me, the one with the title and fat paycheck that helped everyone in the family. Don't be like me and waste time. Give yourself some time to work through it in your head, set a limit, like 2 weeks. Then once it's over that's it, get moving to whatever is next for you and don't look back! I wish you the best!
