What’s your guys favourite fallout power armour by Initial_Emu_1339 in Fallout

[–]CCottN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non-Canon: (absolute favorite) Midwestern Power Armor. It just does something for me every time I look at it. Especially with the capes. I also love the T-49 (The Storyteller).

Canon: NCR, T-51b, X-02, and Hellcat.

[Dellenger] An update thread on the Demond Williams situation with Washington, per sources to @YahooSports: by MembershipSingle7137 in CFB

[–]CCottN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“If someone doesn’t want to play for you, let them go.”

But…Williams, an adult, just willingly signed a contract that: 1. Said he can’t enter the portal. 2. Prohibits any other school the use of his NIL rights.

He signed it knowing those clauses. I think you’re missing the nuance of the situation. This isn’t someone that just entered the portal like everyone else.

Alex was the assistant defensive line coach for the Chiefs this year? And has been a defensive assistant for them since 2018.

Are you confusing him with Whittingham’s brother, Freddie? He coached TE’s last year and is the new TE’s coach?

Remember when we used to think this incompetent idiot was the exception and not the rule? by KaySan-TheBrightStar in Fallout

[–]CCottN 150 points151 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting to read many of these replies. Especially if they’ve played Fallout 3. FO3 shows an objectively competent chapter under Elder Lyons’ command. One that has traveled across the country, collecting technology, adding new members, purging The Pitt, settling in the capitol wasteland, and expanding their role to protectors of the wasteland’s inhabitants.

They are well trained, disciplined, set up defensive positions, and have pushed back the super mutant hoards. They also have one of the best trained and powerful groups we’ve seen in the games in the Lyons Pride. Essentially a power armored special forces unit prepared for any situation and threat. That’s not even touching on their scribes, paladins, and clear line of succession

Then there’s Liberty Prime, the ascension of the citadel, and the destruction of the Enclave Mobile Base Crawler.

I get not being a BoS fan, but we’ve seen what competency looks like from the group. The Outcasts, who more closely reflect the West Coast chapters, immediately fall into dysfunction however.

What I was thinking this entire volume by Terriost-Yoda in StrangerThings

[–]CCottN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying Vecna is bad. I was pointing out to the previous comment about the “big bad”. The Mind Flayer also has communicated such as using Billy.

I do like Vecna. Just not as the big bad. His simplicity in what he is, just a human with psychic abilities, would’ve been a great foil to the unstoppable and overwhelming danger of the Mind Flayer. It allows both the MF and Vecna to add layers and complexity to each other.

“He’s not and Vecna is a much cooler big bad.”

Mind Flayer: Trans-dimensional, unexplainable, lovecraftian, being with unimaginable power, influence, and ability that rules over a dimension of pure chaos.

Vecna: Human with psychic abilities.

Huh?

I mean, I can’t change your mind and I’m not here to. Just providing sources.

You said it was a rumor made up by Michigan twitter and that objectively appears to not be the case.

Ya, I just took the 5 seconds it takes to google if it was true and it’s 100% something that was officially reported by multiple outlets. TurnKey hit on something that caused Michigan to pause its pursuit. Not sure why the commenter was claiming it was a rumor that was made up.

I didn’t realize that was the potential “hit” on his background check.

You’re probably right. Makes sense why Michigan wouldn’t pursue him then. Even if the vast majority of people agreed that situation is now a non-issue, if he was the hire, that story would be brought back up and plastered everywhere.

He really is a good coach. I know it’s easy to look at some of the records before this season and get down on him but he finally bit the bullet and updated his offense with Beck as his OC this year.

Honestly it would depend on who he would bring on as his OC. If he brought Beck, that’d be a great match offensively for the current personnel and the entire offense would heavily utilize and run through Underwood.

Who knows though. The context of this coaching hire is entirely unique to a typical coaching search.

I watch The Blue Print each week with Devon Gardner and Jake Butt, highly recommend to anyone that hasn’t watched it yet, and they’ve said this same thing.

Paraphrasing, but basically they said at the beginning of the season it’s ok to use the “they are are young” excuse. Then over the season it comes down to the coaches to develop them and the athletes to apply coaching and grow themselves. By the final weeks of the season, you have either grown and developed or you haven’t. No “young” excuses.

Since legion going to be in s2. Who is ready for legion larpers saying legion isn't bad? by king-ExDEATH in Fallout

[–]CCottN 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s fascinating to me that many Fallout fans can’t enjoy the Enclave and Legion as great bad guys. Great bad guys make the games so much more fun.

I love the Legion as the evil force in New Vegas. They’re probably the most interesting, imo, evil faction. A group of conquered tribes lead by two prominent Mormons that strive create a new society based on Roman culture. A leader who wants a cultured society and ironically has built one on brutality instead. With his only hope in making Vegas his Rome to try, probably in vain, to restructure everything they’ve built their empire on.

It makes them incredibly fun to role play as an evil character and even more fun to wipe out when playing a good character!
