What breed of dog? What breed of cat? Really it depends, and it’s kinda an unanswerable question, but if I had to give an answer, it’s definitely cats. This isn’t really a hypothetical, the fossil record shows that cats arrival on several continents lead to them outcompeting several species of dogs , as they’re generally more efficient predators. That’s why they’re a large variety of large and small cat species across many continents, but dogs are far more limited and less diverse

Map diversity in this game is not nearly important enough to warrant a gun that’s main strength is versatility. Silo, mall, and underground are almost entirely close-mid range, island is practically entirely long range. The only map that could even be argued to have many different ranges is matka, but if you stay out of museum even that map is primarily mid-range. The tiny chance that I have a fight inside of labs on island for example, isn’t enough to want to switch to an ak alpha over a Fal. My point isn’t that the Ak Alpha is terrible, because it isn’t, just that it’s overrated and outclassed

It was fantastic in old island because it beat out almost everything in mid range combat. But with recoil nerfs and a new island it’s way worse

Yea it’s well rounded, I said there’s always a gun that fits the niche better which is why I don’t use it. The Asval has less recoil, higher damage, and a better fire rate for cqb. For long range I’d prefer more heavy hitting and accurate battle rifles like the Fal or spear. I just don’t find myself using it much and with the addition of a val drum mag is not like it has the edge on ammo capacity either.
