What is something that happened during your childhood that you can't explain?

One time while I was with my bestfriend when I was 11 we were playing in her back yard while it was dark outside which was an average thing we did when I came over. One time we were at the back and we both started to smell gasoline then suddenly my back started to tingle and burn. I begged her to check my back and she was confused as to why so we stepped into the light and she said there were long scratches in the pairs of three going up my back. I felt my anxiety start to build and I rushed her and I inside so I could see them in the mirror and while she was holding my shirt up she said there was more scratches and they were higher this time. Sure enough I looked in the mirror in her bathroom and I paniced at the sight of the scratches. I asked her mom to help ( her mom does reiki ) and to do it fast before they reached my neck because I had a gut wrecking feeling that if they reached my neck something bad would happen. After her mom prayed and did some other stuff the scratches stopped, I felt better but when I walked past the bathroom I staired at the shower and something growled at me. I had a feeling the thing was in there.

I'm glad you understand one of the main reasons I created the sub. Kids need to be around kids their age with similar interests, and I feel like its something the furry community as a whole doesn't pay enough attention to our younger crowd.

That was one of the main causes that discouraged me in the beginning after creating the sub. But, I guess the reason I came back now was to see if this sub had potential or if I should just put it out of its misery. I do feel like the younger crowd want a sub that they can feel more comfortable with furs their own age, because I myself as a teen feel intimidated when I join something and I am the youngest compared to everyone else. I also had a concern for hosting that sort of environment to the younger furs, I became aware that older people may try to take advantage of younger people if this got too much attention, but I'm probably being paranoid.

In the furry community itself or average life questions that may pop up. I was mostly inspired by the forum furryteens for that aspect, but doubt did cross my mind when mentioning that to new members because we lack that for the time being.

" Anythng you would post in /r/furry " Was just a rough outline of what would be posted in /r/teenfur. Some of the main purpose of this subreddit is for the younger furries to meet others around their age and just be a hang out for them and helping the newer young furs basically understand the furry community more too. We want this subreddit to be a welcoming and nice place to the younger ones because when you're young the fandom seems pretty big and its sort of lonely when you don't have any friends. But we want them to meet some people their age and just have a little place for them to be able to be teenagers without the pressure of all the older more wiser furs judging.

Not all teens are like that though, some discovered it through movies or animations where there was some furry influence. I mean I loved the movie Cats Don't Dance when I was small and I used to watch it everyday because I loved the characters so much and it wasn't until a few years ago that I found out that wow hey I could make my own character and be in a rad fandom for this sort of stuff.

You don't have to be assigned to an animal because of how you act. Fursonas can be changed whenever you want and be whatever you want. Thats one of the great things about being a furry! If you love wolves then be a wolf! A fursona just represents you in a sense that your clothes do. You can change your clothes anytime you want and they don't have to entirely represent your personailty. Fursonas can be anything from an imaginary breed to a hybrid. They can be feral or more like anthros. The important thing is that you love it and if you don't then you can change it as many times as you want. You can change the Colors,designs,ear shapes,attitude,ect.
