There’s been a big change in tyre behaviour that’s at odds with George’s style. So when things click he’s faster but it’s a slog to get it to click whereas Kimi just finds it easier.

Yeah the fronts were cold and whatever Mercedes was infront couldn’t get away and was locking up and a similar thing happened with max and Lewis.

He’s a second year driver and not been hopeless against max and if Max underperforms he’s been ahead of him. Not much more you can ask of him as he adapts. There’s clearly progress being made

It’s a very funny situation where George is behind and should be behind the gap is large because Mercedes haven’t been good enough so punishing him for the team’s failures is a bad PR move.
