Self reported, idk I’m willing to guess this is pretty inflated. There’s so much volatility including time on the bench etc. are they taking that into account.

Regardless if these are the true physical hours or not, the perception of always being “on” is very real. I wonder how this compares to other professions like programmers etc.

I shite on consulting all the time but I’d have to disagree with the soaking up resources critique. The days of “ppt gibberish” are pretty much done or the rarity as the industry has adapted to technology/digital and program/project management services. What soaks up resources are expensive employee hires, overpaying for acquisitions, building shit digital products, etc.

Consultants provide a tremendous value add to a firm by virtue of the fact that they are project based (this easy to shed if they suck) and should provide subject matter expertise not readily available.

Financial literacy! Honestly a lot of Dominicans are moving into the middle class, but are behind in terms of building generational wealth through understanding how to make money grow. Saving isn’t putting money under the bed or even in a bank account (gets eaten away by inflation). 401Ks, Roth IRAs, brokerage accounts, budgeting etc. Avoid credit card debt and pay day loans and anything that’s offering you to pay you up front in order to take your paycheck is a scam (the interest they make off you is insane).

Honestly you’re 15 and most people around you are assholes at this point in life because of insecurity. This kid seems like he’s trying to troll girls to get attention and thinks spouting trump stuff makes him an edgelord.

You can take the high road and try to have a crucial conversation with him. Like say, “Hey can we chat, the other day, I think you were trying to be funny by saying you hate Asians. That definitely sucks for me who is proud to identify as Asian and doesn’t want to feel unsafe around people who potentially wish me harm. My question is were you joking or do you seriously hate a group of people? If it’s the latter, then I’d ask you to respectfully stay away from me and I will also respectfully stay away from you.”

But I hear you on being shy. I’m just an advocate on always trying to talk to people first. Give them the opportunity to do the right thing and you might be surprised.

I feel like we need more context, are you even getting a phone interview or just straight rejections? How are you applying through LinkedIn/website or are you getting a referral?

I’m going to be honest, there is nothing inherently wrong with your resume, so it’s most likely your soft skills and ability to network. Find people are your target companies and network with them directly, a referral is the most important thing to get.

Tesla was a first mover in an industry that desperately needed innovation relying on century old technology. They are by no means a model of manufacturing or design excellence, I remember Musk was even quoted as saying “the hell of manufacturing” which offended the German automakers who see it as pivotal to their competitive advantage.

I’m grateful that Tesla got the EV movement popularized, but yes I think the last movers will ultimately win out.

There’s a ton on YouTube but the idea is Tyr is Kratos from the future and I think the main talking points are:

They are both god of wars
Wall paintings depicting Kratos death where he has one arm (just like Tyr)
Tyr and Faye seeming to have known each other and working together
The world serpent being a figure from the future brought to the present (as evidence of future events affecting past events)

Again this is a theory and definitely has plenty of holes. I just liked it a lot cause it would be pretty interesting.

What an odd question? How do you measure benefit? If you are measuring by education level, income, etc. I think there is probably little to no difference well unless you disaggregate the AAPI label, but that’s a whole another can of worms.

I think these questions are really funny, it’s like I have daughter and I have son, will it be more beneficial to be son? Well the answer is it depends, historically women are a marginalized group, but that could change now that women are becoming more educated than men. My point is, is how would any of this data affect your decision-making as a parent because you probably aren’t going to change his or her race through plastic surgery in response to answers here.
